Back at work again for another 48 hour work week. Ida know, even though its usually easy going, sometimes I'd like that third day off if I'm gonna have to work 7 to 19 on the weekends. But at least I get money out of it.

Halfway through X-men. Have everyone but Psylocke, but you don't get her until close to the end. I was playing the Weapon X level, where you get Cyclops and Wolvie, but you get Havok as a helper. I was thinking, dang, too bad he isn't a playable character, because I've always thought he's cooler than Cykes. Then I remembered, oh yeah, he is playable, but only in the danger room, along with a lot of the other boss characters like Mystique, Sabretooth, Juggernaut, etc. I also realized how ass-backwards my obsession with leveling is. Most people who play these types of games, they play for the story, and this whole leveling thing is a tedious exercise they want to get over with as quickly as possible so they can get on with the game. But I was looking in the strategy guide at the next level, and saw the danger room disc you need to unlock the level 5 courses in the danger room. One of which gives mad EXP. So I couldn't wait to get that level over and done with and grab that disc (though maybe the healer already has it for sale, I should check it out) And I'm realizing, what I'm basically saying is, jeez, lemme get through darned actual game stuff so I can get back to that way cool tedious leveling up! Ida know, maybe its because the farther along you get in a story, the closer it is to ending. That, and I like beating things up, and get better at it.

Now, for Tuesday night TV. (Debate, what debate?) I had cancelled the recording of 7pm replay of Veronica Mars on the DVR since I had taped it on UPN in my room last week. But the roomie wasn't home yet, so I switched to it anyway to watch while I waited. But it was the season premiere again. So I thought, okay, maybe MTV messed up. Then at 9, it was last week's ep. Had I not been reading the Veronica Mars recap on TWoP during the commercial breaks during Gilmore Girls, I woulda thought I had slipped universes again. I guess I could check the forums and see what was up with that.

But getting back to Gilmore Girls. Awesome ep. So Rory and Paris are roomies again? And Asher is dead? That was a surprise! And since when was she so chummy with that Marty guy? I guess when this Dean thing goes sour, she'll have him, and prolly that annoying, condescending thinks he's so great rich intellectual dude, to choose from? I can deal with that Marty guy, but if she starts going out with that other asshole, I'll be terribly vexed. At least her mother has something good going. The Luke-Lorelai stuff was pretty sweet. I'm a little skeptical about the menu though. I mean, who writes this story of how they found the place they would open this bar/restaurant at while looking for their dog, and then end with "the dog died four hours later". I'd leave that part out, if I were writing that blurb. Though the whole part with Luke keeping the horoscope in his wallet for 8 years? Corny! But you know what a cornball I am. Though, if he only realized in the past few months he should be hooking up with her, why would he have kept the slip of paper just after a few minutes of knowing her? If he was that interested enough from the start, why did it take him 8 years to finally make a move? I know, like I'm one to talk. Though I thought the town meeting was another one of those deceptive promos, and they really weren't talking about LL. But they were, ha! Though with Luke promising to move if they break up, and Taylor asking for it in writing, I wonder if there'll be a hitch in the LL relationship several eps from now and this coming back to bite him in the ass?

But speaking of deceptive WB promos, ha, I knew that the whole thing where they show the stripper trying to seduce Nathan and cutting to him taking off his shirt and heading towards the bed while Hayley was returning from her bachelorette party was a total mislead! When the scene actually played out and it cut to commercial just as Hayley got back, I said, okay, he's gonna march towards the bed, but it'll be her, not the stripper there. And I was totally right! And is it me, or have Brooke and Peyton seemed a little dykadelic lately? Though I guess the partying is over since they're making it look like Brooke's cut off or her parents are gonna be bankrupt or something. How many times have they done that storyline before?

Ah yes, how tricky of them to, for the billionth consecutive time, air a promo immediately prior to the start of the show, which included exactly what would happen 10 minutes before the end.
