Dang, I feel like crap. I hardly got any sleep last night. And its not like I was up late watching TV- I still have OTH and the latest Veronica Mars on the DVR and VCR respectively. Nor was I up obsessively leveling up some video game characters, as I am oft prone to do. I just couldn't get to bed. Eh, I'll try to keep awake by brushing up on some things in preparation for my COS interview. I think I have a good chance. I woulda thought me and D have it in the bag, but ida know. J has been doing a lot, and that new S guy used to be a COS back in the day. I think I have to make a good impression on the interview to guarantee it. I could really use the promotion though. If I do, I think a laptop and a new car are on the agenda. Not that its a significant raise, but I think after getting a decent but well priced laptop, I could make the car payments on a cheap, reliable car. I mean, the Intimidator is functional and working, but its a mess. I mean, I haven't replaced the CD player because it just doesn't seem worth it. I'm even skeptical about repairing the damage from that accident a few weeks ago. If the lamp housing wasn't cracked and it just left a dent, I prolly would just pocket the money. Owel, and if there's any money left over, maybe an X-box and a Springfield XD-9.

The roomie has been listening to some new music lately. Oddly enough, it sounds like the stuff the old roomie used to listen to until he started getting into that hour long weird screechy stuff. (ha!) I even said to him, "This stuff sounds really familiar, it sounds like stuff [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out used to listen to." but he's skeptical that their musical tastes would ever overlap.

Does this perchance mean normal working hours, if you get it???

nope, its just the top level of what I do currently. Or what Bill used to be before he became an SSS.

I should tell you that I also applied for the COS. That's how depressed I am with my current position.

Why you!! The competition is getting tight!

Why me? Because it's the same pay as my current job, but I think I like that job better.

I might be "over-qualified" for it though.

I'm also interviewing for an SSSIII in IS that I don't expect to get.

However, what might be optimal is if Fred gets the SSSIII and I take his old SSSII position.

Oh I think I read the intonation wrong. You meant "Why you!!" as in "Why you little --!!!!", not in the same style as "Why me, God!!"..

Yes. I should have added the "little", cause that makes it more obvious!

Si! Then me and D get the COSes, and the rest of them all can duke it out over our old CPC slots, that way everyone wins, and everyone is happy. Well, maybe not happy, but they'll be making more bank!

Ida know, its stuff he got into while listening to the Garden State soundtrack. I see that Nick Drake is on it. There's Frou Frou, which both me and him just got on CD. There's also Coldplay, Zero 7, Remy Zero, The Shins, Colin Hay, Cary Brothers, Thievery Corporation, Simon & Garfunkel, Iron & Wine, and Bonnie Sommerville. Hmm, Coldplay is too mainstream (ha!) for you, and Zero 7 and Remy Zero play stuff on WB shows, so I don't think you listened to them either, or else I think I woulda noticed. None of the others ring a bell though. Maybe it was just the one Nick Drake song?
