Aug. 11th, 2004 07:46 amFinished up Witch Hunter Robin yesterday. I'm glad it wasn't one of those series where everyone dies except the main guy and girl, because I hate that. But anyways, comments. So both Dojima and Robin were spies. I suspected there was something more to Dojima. She was just too slack to actually be slack. But I like how it transitioned from the monster of the week plots to the whole "Who is Robin, really?"/political struggle between Zaizen and HQ with the STN-J caught in the middle. Though did I miss something in the beginning that said Dojima and Sakaki were not ordinary people? I mean, Zaizen was wanting to use the Orbo so ordinary humans could hunt witches and they didn't have to rely on hunters. Now obviously Robin and Karasuma had powers, and Amon (who is seriously very Michael Samuelle-like) is a seed, but what about the rest of them? I guess there's something going on with them since they never had to worry about the side effects of Orbo.
Ida know, one seemes to be much harder than 2. Weirdly enough, again the next to last level was the hardest, and I still haven't gotten a platinum on it. I mean, I really don't like the selection, "She Talks with Angels", "Son of a Preacher Man", "When a Man Loves a Woman", and "The One That I Want" from Grease. Actually, I can get "The One That I want" perfectly actually, except for the damn chorus, specifically "The one that I want" line. It sounds all right to me, but its registering like an octave too low or something. So its breaks the combos I get going, and the best I can get is like 500 away from the platinum. Its totally bogus, I think I'm getting that one part right, so it should be an easy platinum. But anyways, the song selection in 2 is much better anyways.
Was watching re-runs of Roswell on Sci-Fi yesterday. I think the first two seasons were pretty good, if not a little non-sensical. That is what they think kids in NY are supposed to look like?! All pierced and tattooed and dressed like hookers and thugs?! Hey, I'm from NYC and I never saw anyone look like that. And the whole thing with Liz and Max. So in a previous episode, she tries to make Max fall out of love with her so they won't get married in the future and drive Tess away causing them to be short handed and letting their enemies take over. Thus, she pretends to sleep with Kyle to piss Max off. But then, she still wants to be friends?! That does not make cents! I mean, that was the whole point of her making Max think they slept together, so that he would feel so pissed and betrayed that he wouldn't want to be with her anymore. How can she think he would still want to be friends as well?! And then the fake Michael just kissing her in the hall. Maria had a point, she didn't know it was fake Michael at the time. I mean, her best friend's boyfriend just slips her the tongue, and she's all "Gee, that's weird!" and says nothing about it? And I like how they non-explain it and just have Alex interrupt their conversation and ignore it for the rest of the ep. But it was still an amusing ep.
Hmm, A just gradulated! What she's still doing working at the student center?
