Ah, Wednesday morning is my Monday morning. At least there was that three day weekend, eh? Except it was only a one day weekend for me, since I worked July 4th and 5th. Of my own volition of course. Its easy money. Anyhoo, have not been able to get far in the Prisoner of Azkaban or play TF in a while, since I'm still writing that thing. I don't know why I bother, since there's only like three people who'd get to read it most likely. I had a bit of writer's block and decided Sunday night to just cut the two chapters I was stuck on. And I was all set to Monday morning, and cut the first one and was going to cut the second one when I was hit with a sudden burst of inspiration. Then I was done Monday night with that. Unfortunately, after seeing what I wrote, I figured, hell, why don't I go all out, and knew how I wanted to do that other chapter. But that's mostly outlined. So hopefully I'll be finally done by tonight and I can get back to other things. Too bad its going to suck.

Of course, while I can't read of play a game myself, I can watch someone else play. So during my typing saw a lot of Poker on TV, annoying the roomie with questions about how to play this hand and that. Also watched him play some more Front Mission 4. It really is a cool looking game, but definitely not for everybody. You have to be someone who wants to spend half an hour deciding what to buy and buying it and organize it and build machines that work for your particular method of strategy. And hey, you can customize the paint jobs! And the practice missions are long for the measely amount of experience you get. I think its vastly improved from FM3. I especially like that your pilots get experience to buy skills. FM3's whole thing where you had to equip part X for a battle for a certain amount of time to learn a skill was lame. And links are awesome. Its cool to see your guy just gang up and unload on one guy. The new weapons and equipment are nice. As are the new skills. They needed something to give you more control of what your sniper unit targets. Overall, a pretty good game, just not for everybody.

Oh, at Best Buy last night picked up Rascal Flatts' "I Melt" and the second Norah Jones CD that I'd been meaning to pick up for a while. It would be nice to be able to listen to CDs downstairs though. It doesn't even have to be through the stereo system. Sure, the DVD player or the ps2 can be used, but its such a hassle to do it that way.
