Jun. 27th, 2004 08:46 amOwel, while letting the usual suspects come over to get their poker fix, I entertained myself with more TF. "Now I have a sniper rifle, Ho! Ho! Ho!" I'm getting better. Learned that the warp gates are vital to change out your mini-con loadout to better handle the next area. For example, there was this research facility I had to clear out. I initially charged in, not knowing it would unlock a boss, and got my ass kicked because there were too many enemies about. So I equipped the sniper mini-con and the one that detects energon signatures, which lets you see enemies through walls and under poor visibility conditions. Just perched up on the ridge and sniped them all. Then I went in and got my ass handed to me by Starscream. The sniper mini-con is good for long range, controlled killing, but against someone as agile as Starscream, especially when he transforms into his jet mode and flies around and strafes you its not the best weapon to have. I guess its still powerful, but its just hard to get a bead on him. So, when I continued, I went back to HQ and switched the sniper for homing missiles, and the energon vision for a force field, though the force field was as useless as the vision since most of starscream's attack are sword strikes and cluster bombs, both of which are unaffected by the shield. But it looks like having the right mini-cons equipped is the key to this game. Since I'm dying a lot, I think I'll check out gamefaqs.com for some tips.
