geebsFinally finished up the Abdul/Valentina story for V:DA. I think it might have been slightly repetitive, but sis says its okay. Went to Roaster's for dinner, but got back too late to watch Smallville on the PVR and being able to finish it before the OC came on. turdburgler lent me. hmm, I guess they've been focused on the girls for a while now, I didn't realize they knew so many guys.
Anyways, watched the usual Wednesday night lineup- the OC, followed by Smallville, then Angel. And I still managed to get to sleep before midnight!
I enjoyed the OC. Plenty of funny lines. And a drunken catfight between Julie and Hailey! And best of all: Seth and Summer back together! But getting back to the catfight, what's with the similar storylines on the OC and OTH, that's 2 drunken catfights in one week! And 2 teen pregnancy storylines in as many weeks! I've been checking out the forums for both shows, and everyone is all "Haven't these people heard of birth control?" Hey, its not 100% effective. And accidents happen. And sometimes people get caught up in the heat of the moment and forget. And they're teens, they're very likely to make a stupid mistake or have it slip their minds or be lazy about it.
Oh, and is it me, or did that Jen chick look kinda like a blonde Jessica Alba.
Hmm, these past few weeks of Smallville have been chock full of some interesting revelations.
And Angel was pretty neat, albiet a little confusing. Wow, Illyria could really school them if she wanted to (and still look mad cute while doing so) And wait, is Angel evil again? Well, not Angelus-evil. But that last scene was interesting. He's prolly cooking up something.
But alas, Illyria lost her time-shifting and dimension hopping powers. Which would all be under psychoportation according to Expanded Psionics. (I like that book!) I used to be a fan of the psychokinetic powers- telekinesis, pyrokinesis. Well the whole playing with fire thing can be kinda neat, but there are plenty of interesting things teeks are capable of. (heh.) And as someone who gets obsessed with having to know things, clairsentience is up there. But the psychoportive stuff? That's some awesome shit. I mean, being able to teleport would be cool. (And extremely convenient!) But its also all about the speed and time manipulation. I don't know what I'd do with such powers if I could actually move that fast (or be moving fast with respect to an observer moving at normal time) but it sure does look cool in the movies.
