Feb. 18th, 2004 08:10 amJust got off the phone with the doctotr's office. I was worried I got the date wrong for my pre-op physical, and that it was today instead of tomorrow. Thankfully it is tomorrow. I do feel like crap right now because I'm not getting nearly enough sleep, as usual. Of course, its my own fault. Monday I stayed up writing while the guys came over for poker. And last night I stayed up late watching my shows on the telly instead of saving some for this afternoon since they're on the PVR. But more on that later.
Last night, went with the roomie and
psyched_out and the wife to Nan. Its this new Thai place right off of the 17th Bridge. It was pretty good. Talked about adult stuff like politics and wot-not. Well, that and the bathroom. I don't recall how we got on the conversation of these fancy restaurants having these fancy bathrooms, I think S+S mentioned the loaf was raving about this one places bathroom. Nan's bathroom was nice. Smelled nice, they had rocks in the sink and actual hand towels, but no mirror! How am I supposed to check my hair out?
Got back, and watched 24, GG, and OTH.
That was an interesting trick Nina pulled. I'm a little skeptical though, because it still required her to cut open her neck! And when was she supposed to be this big bad ass? Sneaking around and shooting tied up people and security guards who aren't expecting it, that's no big deal. Giving yourself a major neck wound and then pinching the tube pumping pain-killers into you so you won't go unconcious then pretending to be unconcious while doctors operate on you, then getting up in the middle of it and killing the doctors and the two agents guarding you? That's hardcore! Oh, and Jack finally did what he said he was going to do! I was skeptical that that would actually ever happen.
Was it me, or was Lauren Graham look particularly hot tonight. And is Dean gonna have an affair with Rory? It was cool to see Rory and Lane actually act like best friends for a change. And boy can Paris be nasty. I don't mean for causing Lane to be kicked out, it was ridiculous to have someone who doesn't even go to Yale living in their dorm room, but it was heart wrenching to hear Lane, because you just hear the sadness in her voice. I meant the way she rants and raves for ten minutes when she's cutting someone down. She's just plain mean. It was a sad ep for the actual Gilmore Girls. It was pretty neat to see Lorelai's parents defend her when Lorelai the First called her a failure. But something seemed a little off with Lorelai crying to Luke and Rory to Dean. I can't put my finger on it. Its not that it sounded fake, it just something didn't ring right with the scenes.
Wow, Moira Kelly is looking older, but she's still hot. And quite MILFy. But really, what mom actually sings that you are my sunshine song? And Deb's hot too. I thought she was pretty MILFy back on the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" TV show
And wow, Peyton actually didn't tell Brooke. I figgered last week when she was all, I have something to tell you, she actually did tell her. But as seen in this ep, I guess she got the call about Lucas not two seconds later. It was funny though to see her rush away and then realize, "Oh wait, I should prolly tell his ACTUAL girlfriend!"
And that Nathan guy is an idiot. I guess honesty is the best policy, but why would you say it so non-chalantly? "Yeah, I started going out with you to mess with your best friend's head." And he didn't even be all "that was before I knew you and I fell in love you". I guess it was implied in his whole "isn't it ironic that Lucas is the jerk now when I'm the one who initially just went after you to piss him off" schpeel. If you're gonna drop a bomb like that, at least be all serious and apologetic about it. Did he really think Hayley'd be okay with the fact that there relationship started out on a lie?! And another thing, he's all "I can't visit him" because of their whole rivalry thing I guess. But Lucas is also his damn brother! Jeez, no matter what shit they have between them, he's family!
But anyways, I wonder what Karen must think seeing all these girls visit her son all gaga over him. Peyton, Brooke (who was cutely akward), Hayley. Things do suck for Keith though. All his dreams were about to come true, then he gets drunk and almost kills his true love's son. Making mistakes is tough. But when it involves love, and when its something so simple and stupid, its something you beat yourself up over for a long, long time. And he was about to propose to her too. What a horrible thing to happen.

Date: 2004-02-18 07:19 am (UTC)oh yeah, nan did too have a mirror! it was in the stall itself--surely you saw that, raht?
Re:
Date: 2004-02-18 07:40 am (UTC)There wasn't one in the urinal in the middle, and I didn't use the first stall, so mebbe that's why I saw no mirror. It is an odd place to put a mirror then, it should be by the sink!
