Is it me, or is there never enough time in the day to do everything you need to?! I have not been getting a reasonable amount of sleep at all this week. The GMA said I looked like hell when I came in this morning. There's just too much to do! I mean, there's getting everything I need to get settled, like bills and what not, settled before I leave for my trip to the Philippines. And then I have all these doctor appointments before and after then. Then there's the daily grind. And I need a haircut! And a shave. And to do laundry. Of course, I can actually handle all that. What I'm really complaining about is that there's not enough time in the day to loaf around. There are too many entertaining things to do. There's the weekly TV schedule (new OC tonight, yay!) I'm back to writing stories,
turdburgler gave me some more stuff to read. (the latest Basara and a series called Wish) I'm near the end, but I haven't gotten everything yet. I actually tied up a bunch of loose ends yesterday afternoon, but I still have to oversoul every monster in the game. And the sucky thing is when I play it over in New Game+, there are still other new things to do that I can't do on this current save!
Gilmore Girls was interesting. As I said on gtg last night:
"Who wouldn't want to go to a Styx/REO Speedwagon/Journey concert? That sounds like that would totally kick ass! Mr. Roboto, Don't Stop Believing, Keep on Loving You, they're classics!"
and
"Wait, they have the whole pretending she's going out with Digger when she really is, but then they have all that Luke-Lorelai angsting. You can't have the hiding the relationship storyline and the really good friends who are meant to be together storyline at the same time! Well, you can, but not with the same people. Or you can have it if the person they're hiding the relationship from is the best friend, and she's sort of hiding it from Luke but mainly she's hiding it from her parents."
And first Jess comes back, now Dean? Guess they couldn't find a new guy for Rory.
And on 24, what's the big deal if its Chase's baby?! Why keep it a secret? Or did he just not want Kim to find out? And I'm surprised Nina didn't shit herself when her ploy failed. Jack can be a scary guy. And Sherry Palmer is deliciously evil. Though I'm convinced she actually believes that line "we didn't kill him, he died of natural causes". Talk about delusional!
Oh, and I don't normally watch the current SVUs on NBC, I catch the replays on USA, but I put that on since there was no Line of Fire. I guess I coulda checked out One Tree Hill finally if I wanted to, but I think the roomie would protest. That was a strange ep. Seriously, if you're a bigamist, and the daughter from one marriage and the son from the other end up going to the same school and start taking a liking to each other, you should tell them the truth right there. You don't flat out forbid them from going out for no good reason whatsover because that'll guarantee they'll start seeing each other because its so Romeo and Juliet-ish! See what happens when you don't tell? They end up unknowingly carrying out an incestous relationship and then people end up dying and going to jail. And really, when the sister-f'er was all, "I have no one now!" since the girl accidentally died and the father was killed and the mother was going to jail, why would the cops bring up that half-brother as someone he still has? They may be related by blood, but he's practically a total stranger! Its not like they could hang out and become real brothers like some teen drama. I mean the whole accidental incest brings a whole new level of akwardness.
Also,
psyched_out's story about the time Acid Mothers Temple stayed at our place back in March of 2002 had me looking back at my old LJ archives to see what I wrote that week. That was the week of the first 2601 party. I made an entry on it back then and really, what was I thinking when I posted all that?! I wanna say I was still drunk when I made that post, but I couldn't have been, I woulda been at work! I like said Temple looked "hot and Lauren Graham-ish" and Holli "could never not look mad cute". wtf?! (And now they're married! Not to each other!) And it was so obvious from what I wrote that I was crushing on a certain girl in attendance. I mean, there's nothing wrong with paying girls a complement, but being the shy and reserved guy I am, I'm just surprised I would actually say stuff like that, and not even locked! This must've been before people I knew in real life (not counting the usual suspects) knew I had one of these. Hmm, and the day afterwards I said I went to both Zesto's and the Varsity? That sounds like a good day. Its making me hungry just thinking about it.

Date: 2004-02-11 08:53 am (UTC)do you remember that trip to zesto? actually on second thought, you probably don't...it was a typically madcap "feed the hungover quickly!" morning and we tried java jive but they were too crowded--then you (i think?) got sick in their bathroom and s. was going into food withdrawal pains, so we left to go to the highlander but we showed up at 11:50 and they weren't open until 12:30 or something like that, so in a last-ditch effort we went over to zesto--and it seemed like the best food ever...maybe it was...
oh, you're right about the original party being aug 18--i don't know what made me think 25...and that march party was the one where a guy from work came, and jkau & jbarkle were asking him questions like "so everybody at work thinks that scott is gay, right?" good times, good times...
