So they measure me up for lens implants today. Its too bad you can't get cool options like a retinal display, low-light, thermographic and such. Hell, I'd say, cut open my arm, gimmie a smart-link and throw in a data jack as well. You know, so I could plug in and put it up on the retinal display. Maybe have a newsticker at the bottom, and a small window in the upper corner for a snazzy picture in picture deal. Technology needs to evolve to this soon, dammit! I mean, if you have to put some sort of implant in there, it should be able to do cool shit!

So I had my opthomology exam today and got everything organized to do my left eye. Had the trip to the Philippines and the Britney concert and Dw's upcoming training and MP's upcoming vacation to take into account, but i was able to find some days that would work. Hopefully all goes well and I can actually see out of my left eye again.

Almost finished with the Traffic mini-series. Ida know, I like it better than the movie, and I think they're "find the virus" storyline is slightly more edifying than what 24 has going on right now. And I think the connections between the plot threads are a little more solid than the original movie.

What kind of pics? They were telling me about the surgery today and were all, "yeah, we run something through a vein to sedate you, then we inject behind your eye to numb the area." I was all "wazzit now with the injecting behind the eye?!" It'll be an interesting experience to say the least.

but if you get all of these images in your head, you might not rely on tv as much anymore--oh, the horror!

Not really, I could watch TV in my head! That would rock!
