Ah well, [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out's b-day was this past Monday, the 2nd. Since we were planning a surprise dinner for him last night (since the place was closed Monday) and I suck at being secretive, I opted instead to say nothing and just look like a jerk. Besides me, there was Sato, of course, [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler and my cycloptic friend (and I wonder why I'm going blind) chrism, the usual suspects, Bob, and [livejournal.com profile] phatjoe and his gf [livejournal.com profile] elcielo. It was quite amusing, since Sato had Scott blindfolded the whole way to Eclipse de Luna, and he didn't know where he was going or that we were there. It was kinda hysterical, actually, because when they came in, she had him facing this other table. And those people played along, yelling "Surprise!" to him, leaving him quite confused as to who the hell they were! I'm surprised he didn't hear me breying like a donkey when that happened.

Anyways, the food was great, if a bit pricey for the portions. As the GMA put it, its like $4 for a piece of chopped up sausage? I myself started off with Chorizo ad some raw Tuna deal. Bob kept ordering this garlic-beef thingie, which was also real good. Food, folks, and fun, that's what the good times are about!

Beforehand, sis had come early for this dinner thing while I was X-2ing it. With my half-blindness going on, she actually helped me to get the adamantite accessory you get for passing level 9 or Max in the Gunner's Gauntlet. There's a cheap trick to beating this mini-game. You have to be at lvl 6 or 7 at least so the helms start showing up. They drop volley ammo, which kills all the enemies around. There's this part of the third path, underneath the last waterfall, where if you push up against the lower fence, the fiends won't attack you. So once you have volley shot, just stand there, keep on marking your targets, and then when the blue helm dude passes by, fire. That way you rack up lots of points, and your replacement volley ammo is right next to you to pick up. Anyways, she pointed out a helm that I didn't see at all. Which was good, because I did end up cutting it close in terms of getting enough points within the time limit. Other than leveling up Yuna and Paine's super-dressspheres and the end of the game, all I have left is Via Infinito. I've gone down as far as lvl 20. Unfortunately, Crimson Sphere 1 was missed the first time through the game, so I can unlock the Den of Woe and will have to wait until the new game +.

After dinner, watched some 24 and Gilmore Girls. 24 had some action, but was for the most part hum drum. Gilmore Girls was pretty funny last night. Though Paris was quite callous. And the way she's talking, she's most likely being set up for a fall. Its typical TV, when you start talking like you have too much invested in things, that's when the rug is pulled out from under you.

The GMA and I were talking about it at dinner last night, but he thought I got the digital signage position, whereas I thought I dodged the bullet and didn't get it. So in the morning meeting today, we listend with anticipation, and Bill did indeed end up getting it! Owel, sorry for him. Ideally, Terry shoulda gotten it, because that also entails the least amount of scheduling change. Anyways, went to Tech Square for the first time today. It looks pretty sweet. And the signs are cool, but I don't enough to maintain all of them. Anyways, it was nice to finally see what its like over there. Besides, it was a fun little diversion from the usual work day, and plus, I got to check out some management hotties. Woah, I'm already a decade older than high schoolers (hey, that means people's 10ths are coming up. [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out, any Mt. Vernon reunion? You and Holli can both go sporting your foreign spouses! And then people will gossip about how scandalous it is that youse didn't marry American. ha!) And soon I'll be a decade older then undergrads. Sick!

But getting back to high school reunions, I don't know if I'd go to mine or not. If I was still in NY, I would, even though I haven't even spoken to anyone there since high school. Well, one or two, and I would rather have not talked to them ever again. But living in Atlanta, I don't feel like going up there just for that.

hey, about those prices, eclipse is actually one of the cheaper places in town for it, considering the quality--i was just reading about another place that just opened up that is almost double the price--not that i care that much about it, since i didn't have to pay...gloating while i can...but really, some of that stuff (the chorizo, the cheeses, etc) are pretty pricey when you're going for the real thing...

still no word on an mv reunion, but i'd let you know if news broke out--i'd still find a way to get you in somehow...

We coutld pass me off as the foreign exchange student. Wasn't his name like Lars or Gunther or something? Like they'd remember him, anyways!

jurgen! the only thing they'd remember about him was that he taught a few of the guys how to say "shit" and "cocksucker" in german--if you can learn those two words, you might be able to pull it off!
