Jan. 26th, 2004 03:16 pmOwel, went to the doctor's office today to get a prescription for any kind of drugs that would help. Also ended up getting a tetanus shot from the cute nurse, since the doc thought I was long overdue for one. I hadn't had any sort of shot in a long time. But hey, it was quick and painless.
Just the usual sort of weekend. Sis lent me the first two volumes of "Hot Himmick". Interesting storyline, albiet a little confusing since both guys are total assholes. Confusing because the girl shouldn't end up with either! One is a wolf in sheep's clothing using her as a pawn for his revenge against someone. I'm guessing her dad had an affair with his mom and he's the person he's getting revenge on. Its all mysterious. And the other guy is a total asshole! Its one thing to act like you really hate someone when you really like them, but he's going a little too far. I'm curious to see how it all turns out.
Also FFX-2ed it. I think I'm a little over half way having the classes all mastered. I'm stuck at an impasse right now, since I did everything I needed to unlock the secret dungeon in the Chocobo ranch, but there's a bug in the game. You're supposed to do X, and then when you leave the area and come back, it starts a cut scene. So I did X, left, and came back to make sure I did everything right. I did, so I resets it. However, reloading into that save spot counts as leaving and returning, so when you reload, it automatically starts into the cutscene. Since its technically the roomie's game and I'm just powering up his characters for him, I should save the part for him to see. It does suck not being able to play now. Damn video game addiction.
Oh, and this rainy weather sucks! It was like raining two days straight this weekend. It made the drive back from C+Ts interesting. Those roads there need more street light! And the miserable weather added to the disappointment of Sunday Dim Sum lunch since the food was sub-par compared to normal. As C-Note described it, it was like they just cut a piece of sausage and mushroom to make their sticky rice that day. Not that I'm a big fan of the sticky rice, I'd rather just have lots of pork buns and other meat-pastries.
