So TVline has a breakdown of the upcoming new shows next fall. Eh, only a handful of them piqued my interest.

Flash- Well, obviously. Plus it has Danielle Panabaker. Hopefully its as good as Arrow.

Agent Carter- Even though I'm still lukewarm on Agents of SHIELD, this is part of the Marvel TV/Movie universe so I'm still going to watch it.

iZombie- I had no interest at all in this, until I heard Rose Mciver was in this. (Does that mean Tinkerbell won't be on OUAT next season?) She's totes cute. Although she prolly will be playing an American and thus not have the hot accent?

Gotham- Again, comic book show, so I'll give this a chance. Its still weird that Ryan Atwood is going to be playing Commissioner Gordon. And hey, Donal Logue as Bullock. I guess he won't be chief of SVU for too long then?

Constantine- Yet another comic book show. Still going to give it a chance.

Galavant- You had me at musical fairytale. HA!

Selfie- The premise sounds goofy, but it has John Cho and Karen Gillan, so I'll check it out. Although I'm guessing she won't be using her native accent?

Had lunch with [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out and his wife at Hankook today. Hadn't seen them in the longest time, so it was nice to catch up. Coincidentally, [livejournal.com profile] dresque was there, so briefly chatted with him as well. S+S hadn't seen him in prolly a decade.

Had dinner with [livejournal.com profile] clevemire and M and P at Longhorn as well. Apparently P is back in town for good. But yeah, ordered the special table sauce. I just thought it was going to be like home made A-1 or something. But the waitress was heating up like diced garlic on a hot stone, then pouring the special sauce over it. I had no idea it was some complex thing! It was fine, I'm always up for trying new and interesting sauces.

So, started up a new Shadowrun game with [livejournal.com profile] zarathustra94, [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler, M, and J. 5th edition is interesting, I love the new wireless matrix, and the whole augmented reality thing. It does give deckers a more active role. No more doing a run, the Decker plugging in and doing his own thing for like an hour in the matrix. They can do cool stuff like hack peoples guns and other equipment.

I also love the importance of the commlink, and how its basically your one stop personal phone/computer/entertainment system/what have you. You can also use it to set up a PAN (personal area network) and use its firewall to protect your stuff from being hacked. Also, with A DNI (direct neural interface), you don't need the image link anymore to display stuff in your field of vision anymore. The interface translates the signals and beam it directly into your head. Well, so things are still displayed in your field of vision, but instead of getting a retinal modification and basically having it projected into your eye, through the magic of DNI, your brain thinks those images (and sounds and smells and what have you) are there. So instead of looking through the camera on your phone to see augmented reality like you do nowadays, that stuff is just prolific. So basically, a commlink is as essential as a smartlink in my opinion.

Oh, and hey, I finally broke the top 100 on the challenge rankings in the US in ME multiplayer!

TV commentary:
