Things I learned from my tumblr feed: There are apparently a ton of movies about lesbians struggling to deal with their lesbianism in the face of a very traditional culture, like Middle Eastern or Asian ones. But I suppose that's to be expected when most of the people one follows on tumblr is lesbian. Even more amusing, when one is following so many lesbians not because "Girl on girl action, HOTT!" but because they ship the same things on you.

Or rather, I saw this video a long time ago, before the existence of Girls, so I didn't know who she was back then. I like had this version of the song in my ipod for years and totally unaware it was her singing! But yeah, I don't actually watch Girls, I just know her as the "cute one from Girls" in those Girls gifs the lesbian chyx I follow on tumblr are constantly posting.

It is pretty hilarious, though I don't know if I get the whole Andrew Garfield "Baby Head" thing.

AC3 commentary- Finally got to do some combat in this game, after delivering some mail around Boston and chasing around almanac pages for Ben Franklin. Oh, and Ben Franklin extolling the virtues of sleeping with old chyx over younger ladies for 5 straight minutes? Kinda weird and creepy.

Guns are definitely an odd duck in this game. You can preload your guns for one shot, but given this is the 18th Century, reload times are insanely long (about several seconds). Unless you're behind cover and the enemies aren't charging you, you can only get off about one shot before it becomes wise to switch to a melee weapon. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like you can quickly reload the gun once out of combat, you still have to sit through the reload animation.

Its been a while since I played an AC game, but I quickly got back in the hang of things combat wise. Nice to see I can still get a kill streak going- as in the previous game, if a bunch of redcoats attack, I just need to hit one of them to chain off of and slaughter the rest. (Well, most of the rest, there's always one or two pesky guys just out of range)
