So I was looking up the track listing for Just Dance 3. Its not a game I'd ever play, but I was curious what songs they had the kids dancing today. (Heh, and how amusing is it that Robin Sparkles' "Let's Go to the Mall" is in this) Anyways, while listening to the various tracks, got into Scissor Sisters (who to me seem like Pink Floyd meets the Bee Gees) . Their particular song in JD3 is I Don't Feel Like Dancing, the video of which I found totally amusing. (for some reason, the intro makes me think of Alabama's "Mountain Music") But speaking of their videos, what's up with their vid for "Invisible Light": (link goes to uncensored version, censored version embedded below):

Its pretty strange, but with the period looks, is it referencing something in particular? (also, how hot is the actress in this vid's arse in those riding pants? Which speaking of, Old Navy commercials are cheesy as hell, but day-um those workout pants look awesome on those chicks. Of course, its nowhere near as hot as Eric Prydz' "Call On Me":

Anyways, given how much TV I watch, its no surprise that TV characters figure more into them than people I know in real life. I don't find it weird when its characters from DC, or the OC, or GG, or even NCIS (because I've watched a lot of NCIS on USA reruns). But last night's was Criminal Minds. I didn't think I watched that show enough for that to happen. (actually, it was like a Wednesday night TV crossover, because in addition to the BAU team, so was Fin from SVU) Even odder was that it didn't involve solving some grisly case or anything. But it did involve having to make out with JJ for some reason, to make some former classmate of her's jealous.

TV commentary:

Once Upon a Time- caught the pilot for this- I actually enjoyed it, for the same reasons I enjoyed the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (the comic version, not the movie. Well, the first series, when I knew who everyone was. The later ones were just a mess, and full of people who I was all like "Who?!" Maybe if I was British I'd know) I like the idea of taking these classic characters and weaving this modern story around them. (I still need to read Fables!)

The protagonist of the story is Jennifer Morrison (who looks way better as a blond than a brunette, no matter what [livejournal.com profile] clevemire tells you!) destined to save her family and the rest of these storybook characters from a curse placed on them by the evil queen from Snow White. What's interesting is since this is on ABC, and thus associated with Disney, it not only features classic fairy tale characters like Prince Charming, Snow White, Red Riding Hood, Geppetto, Pinocchio, and Rumpelstiltskin, but Disney created characters like Jiminy Cricket and Maleficent.

I definitely want to see more, but as the GMA said in his own review, the pilot was 100% set up, so it'll definitely be interesting to see what a normal ep would be like. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Walking Dead- Okay, ha, I thought this whole Carl accidentally getting shot by Otis was something they made up for the TV show, but that actually did happen in the comic! Wow, I do not remember that at all! There are significant changes though, since Shane is still alive and around to do stuff. So they had to add that whole sequence with him and Otis in the high school. (unless that happened, but with a different character, and I'm just forgetting)

Looks like they're bypassing the whole Wilshire Estates part (which is no big deal), since they've already arrived at Herchel's farm. But they haven't met Tyreese yet, which is another deviation. I mean, if they need a token, at least he was actually interesting, more interesting and less of a whiner then this T-Dog guy.

Interesting, so Maggie is played by Bela from Supernatural/Rose from VD. I like her, I've always thought she was attractive. Though she doesn't really match my idea of how the TV version of Maggie would look. For some reason, I wanna say she looks slightly ethnic in the comics (although it could be the fact the comic is done in black and white that's throwing me off), which doesn't make sense for me to think that, because the Greenes were all whiteys.
