Mar. 4th, 2011 02:02 pmSo its First Listen Fridays, and the final two songs from next week's Glee ep are available for listening. The Glee cover of Starland Vocal Band's "Afternoon Delight", along with previously mentioned Gwyneth Paltrow covers of "Kiss" (by Prince), the Joan Jett version of "Do You Wanna Touch Me" (Is it me, or is the fact that this song was originally done by Gary Glitter pretty creepy, considering he's a big pedo!?), and the Dixie Chicks' version of "Landslide" can be found here. The Warblers' version of the Neon Trees' "Animal" can be found here at Just Jared.
Afternoon Delight- This is mainly John Stamos and Emma, with Puck, Rachel, and Quinn providing backup. I wasn't sure Rach was in this first, but after a few listens I realized some of the verses were hers. Anyways, the fact they did this song is totally awesome. (and the footage from the promos and leaked set pics from Stamos make it look like the performance will be hilarious) But despite my love for "Afternoon Delight" (heh) its still not my favorite song of the ep, that title goes to "Landslide".
Animal- Wow, finally, a Warblers song that's not just Blaine. I mean, Blaine and Kurt did sing "Baby, Its Cold Oustide" together in the Christmas ep, but that was them just practicing/singing to each other. Its good to see they're finally trying a song that's not just Blaine with everyone else singing backup, as it seems we've hardly heard anything from Kurt since transferring to Dalton.
