TV Commentary:

Glee- So I was egg-cited to hear the girls were doing "Livin' On A Prayer" next week, but disappointed when I found out it was a mashup with "Start Me Up". I mean, they've had some good mashups (Its My Life/Confessions Pt II), but some really terrible ones too (Hair/Crazy In Love). Here's hoping former. But the promos for next week! The Dalton Academy Warbler's doing Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream"? Awesome, ah can't wait!

Sons of Anarchy- Seriously, as I said last week, I understand Gemma is reluctant to drop the bombshell that his father had knocked up some other chick in Ireland, but better to do that now before he commits unintentional incest. I mean, last week, I could say, maybe she did somehow miss it, but this week, she was definitely staring in shock when they were getting all cozy (not in that way!) sitting on the bench. Its like surely then is a time to shout something like "You guys might want to separate, because you're brother and sister!" Oh, but that was a surprise there at the end! spoiler cut )

Life Unexpected- Argh, really show, having Lux and teacher flip flop every week, only to have someone unwittingly give them advice that not only should they go for it, but they're meant to be? I mean, its one thing when its her family/friends, but now Emma's randomly doing it? Why does the show insist on acting like the two of them together is something that's meant to be?! She's 16, and he's her teacher! Usually when shows do this storyline, they at least promote it as folly, not go into normal shipper-level stuff on why they belong together!

I mean, Lux going for it because of Emma's unwitting advice where she talks about how Baze and her are "all kinds of wrong" (yet more evidence she secretly had an affair with his dad!) but she's going for it because Baze is worth it, so Lux thinks the same holds true for her and teacher guy? WTF?!

In any case, I am amused that Lux and Tash seem to have switched places from last year, with Tasha the one wanting to be a joiner and have a normal high school life.

Since Glee was a repeat last night, was flicking through the channels and remembered the existence of that new "Tower Prep" show on cartoon network (even though its not a cartoon!) Its an interesting show, the premise seems similar to the "Morning Glories" comic series that started up a few months ago. But it looks like I've missed a couple of eps already, and they ddon't appear to be online.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't so anal/slightly O-C. I've mentioned how much I love my new phone, but often I think I have too much freedom on how to set up the screens. I mean, I'm not crazy for thinking the screens should be organized with a theme in mind, right? Like on my home screen, I have the weather and calendar widgets running, so when I unlock my phone, I can see what the weather is like outside and be reminded of any thing I might have going on. Of course, I've also thrown in icons of the things I'd use the most so they're right there without me having to swish to another screen. Obviously, I have text messaging and gmail and contacts there, as well as miso and 4squre and a notepad and terminal app. So that's pretty much full up.

Then I have a screen that's just widgets for twitter and facebook, and a "navigation/utility" screen consisting of programs having to do with navigation, the flashlight program, etc. Then there's my media screen, which consists of youtube and programs having to do with the camera and music playage. And finally, there's the settings/"office-ish" one, with programs having to do with monitoring my account/phone status, as well as stuff like the built in translation and quick office programs, scientific calculator, etc.

I think its logical to group things together for ease of use. Though it drives me totally crazy when it the icon layout on the screen ends up non-symmetrical or no useful pattern at all. I mean, each screen can be broken down into a 4x4 grid, and when it can't be divided into a pretty layout, it just bugs me. Like if there were 9 icons, you'd have one just sitting there all unsightly and ruining the aesthetic. So then you have to re-arrange things to not only look more pleasing, but still make sure there's a unifying connection between all the programs on the screen. Because as much as I'd like to keep things symmetrical, it would irk me just as much to have a program or two that has nothing in common with the other programs on the screen. That just wouldn't make sense!
