TV Commentary:

The Walking Dead- So this started up on AMC last night finally. Wow, the show is gorier than I expected. I mean, it is a show about zombies, but still I thought the make-up and wot-not was pretty good.

Hmm, I was thinking, this is one of the first TV shows I've seen based on a novel or comic series (I don't count Smallville or FNL) where I actually am very familiar with the work its based on. I mean, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, Dexter, are all based on books, but since I never read them, I don't have a mindset on how things are "supposed to" go. However, I'm a big fan of the comic, so I'm kinda curious how I will feel if they make significant deviations. I'll prolly be fine with it if they're done well.

Oh, heh, sure that red-shirted dude at that one WoW event ended up looking all dorky on the internet, but hey, it got him immortalized as an NPC! So nerds, go ahead and point on useless knowledge about some geek thing at the panels at these conventions! You never know, you too may be added to canon! And wouldn't that be a dream come true?

So the Writer's Block question of the day on LJ is: "If you had to go an entire week without TV, music, or your mobile phone, which would you choose, and why?"

I think we all know which one I wouldn't choose! A week without TV, yeah, right! Although choosing between music and my mobile is a hard one. I would say I'd go without the phone, but while I don't use it to talk or text all that much, I do like being able to reach the internet wherever, whenever. But most of the day I'm by a computer anyways, so its moot. Now if it was internet rather than just your phone, then sure, music would be last at that point.

Dexter- Is it me, or is Robocop looking pretty creepy nowadays? Speaking of creepy looking, I was watching this commercial with this decrepit old man spouting about health care and it wasn't until 30 seconds in that I realized it was Matlock! Man, he's old. I mean, I've only seen him as old, but he's like really old looking now.

Gossip Girl- I wonder how many more eps does Katie Cassidy have left, it seems like she's been around longer than other major guest stars. Not that I'm complaining, she's mad cute, I'd be fine with them keeping Juliet around. (speaking of made cute, how hot did Blair look tonight?) ( spoiler cut )

HIMYM- clevemire's proclamation that Cameron from House is better looking as a brunette? bgv('Oh, Reginald? I disagree!') She is way hotter as a blond! Call me shallow, but I actually like her and Laura Lee Bundy's recurring characters this season. ( spoiler cut )
