10 Things- You know, some people say Rachel Berry or Taylor Townsend are annoying freaks, but I find characters like Kat Stratford way more annoying. The former chyx, their behavior is a cry for help, they're trying to fill something missing in their lives. The latter is a kinda pretentious douche who think they're so great and that they're helping the masses by imposing their ideas on them. I mean, tonight's ep, if that had happened at my school, I'd totally be pissed off.
Campaigning to get a more vegetarian friendly menu at the cafeteria, that's fine. Forcing the school to have "meatless mondays"?! That's total BS! I'm sure its healthy, but I'd rather it be a choice. Its should be my prerogative whether or not I have a good and balanced diet. I mean, I'd prolly go with a salad (and hey, I'd even pick a dressing other than ranch/bleu cheese) once in a while if it was offered. But offering only veggie lasagna or soy dogs, I feel like the choice is being forced upon me.
Anyways, as for the plot of the more tolerable Stratford sister (at least in my mind) this week, Bianca gives a girl a makeover in the hopes that if Cameron finds someone else, he can get over her and be friends again. This brings up one of my other issues with the show, the whole Cameron/Bianca friendship has for me always been a case where they say and not show. I mean, they can say they were good friends, but the show hasn't really demonstrated that to me. Like what does she feel she's missing out on? I could at least understand it if they were friends for years and they just grew apart because Bianca wanted to be more popular, but they haven't even really known each other for more than a semester. It just rings false for me.
And then they had Bianca teaching this tall girl all this stuff about Cameron (okay, the Lost references were kinda funny, particularly when she was telling the girl all about Kate- "She blew up her father in his trailer, but later you find out she was totally justified". Though the line was wrong because it wasn't his trailer, it was their house. Not all southerners live in trailer parks! Even if they're poor.). Like from what they've seen from the show so far, I can see Cameron knowing some stuff about Bianca since he's trying to get in her pants, but I never saw a case where she'd have occasion to learn anything of substance of Cameron. Not that she's self-involved, just that it seems like he hid a lot of himself for fear it would turn her off.
I guess they say later she just did a lot of research on him. Which I was kinda skeptical about, like how could she find all that information so fast. But then I thought, between my facebook and LJ, one could figure out a lot about me. I mean, a quick glance of my profile and boxes on facebook, you'd know a lot of my favorite things, and everywhere in the world I've been and what books I've read. LJ is obviously more informative. Well, if one had the patience to read through the thousands of entries (~3400 as of this post!) Of course, I tend to get long winded and post so much, I bet most people gloss over a lot of stuff. (Like people prolly don't even know whats up with the two floor/one floor thing or what the hall to nowhere is) I mean, this post, since I didn't put the commentary under a cut, is already long enough that no one managed to read this far. Particularly since this is the middle and I still have 24 and House to comment on.
House- Woah, is it me, or did the queen have a totally awesome rack? And she was played by the white supremacist guy's daughter on Sons of Anarchy who set up Peggy Bundy to have that untoward thing happen to her. And then Peggy Bundy shot and killed her in the season finale. What a waste! ( spoiler cut )
24- I'm a little surprised (and disappointed!) of the recent turn of events ( spoiler cut )
Vampire Diaries- actually, the TWoP weecap reminded me of something which does illuminate an issue/problem I was curious about in my last post about the show. ( spoiler cut )
