Watching yet another version of A Christmas Carol, this one with Captain Picard, I realize the whole prize turkey thing on Christmas morning bugs me. Yeah, its a nice gesture to the Cratchet family, since they're poor and have nothing to eat, and suddenly they're getting this big-ass turkey. But don't those things take a long time to cook? Particularly since its the biggest turkey available in town?! So basically Mrs. Cratchet has to spend all day cooking that thing? That's kinda rude! This version's even more amusing, because it hadn't even been plucked yet, so in addition to the cooking time, they have to like de-feather and skin it and all that jazz!

Went to Frontera last night with the usual suspects, and didn't get the mexican pizza! I opted for the tacos de alambre instead since I can usually only finish half the mexican pizza and wasn't gonna be able to save the other half for later like I usually do.

Tried some new games. Wits and Wagers was by far the best one, I thought. I didn't do as well at Cineplexity as I thought I would. Facts in Five was too hard. (That's what she said!) Seriously tho, I didn't think I was that big a dullard, but the game say the average score is 150, and I don't think I ever came that close. Actually, I think [livejournal.com profile] clevemire or [livejournal.com profile] phatjoe got that high. Its total BS. Also tried Blnk. I'm skeptical I'm that slow. Then again, I've never been as fast as I've wanted to be. I usually got away with it in video games either through broken rhythm (though often not intentionally), being sneaky, and cheating/fighting dirty.

Hmm, I did better than I was expecting. Then again, its only the old ass stuff that gave me trouble, but luckily I'm a good guesser.

Just sitting here at Hartsfield, a couple of hours early as usual. You'd think I'd believe by now that the airport is nowhere near as crowded Christmas as it is Thanksgiving.

Anyways, had lunch with the roomie and [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out and his wife and kid. Since the latter peeps weren't able to make it to either of my b-day shindigs, we figured this was the last time we would be able to see each other before the break. We were originally planning to go to the manchester arms, but its doesn't open on sats until 4. So we went to pho lai instead. Heh, it was only after pulling in that I realized I'd been there before.

Buit if was nice seeing them, and its been a while since I had pho, I forgot what a good deal it is for your money, tho even better for me this time since [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out footed the bill as a belated bday thing.

Everything to the airport went smoothly, so as I said, I'm here way too early.
