Ha, the roomie point me out to this bit of viral marketing for Dewey Cox, which I somehow missed. Its amusing.

Went to Atlantic Station with the usual suspects for dinner since the roomie was strangely intrigued by the whole snowing at the station thing. Hilariously, it was actually canceled tonight. Since I had gotten there early, I did some shopping at AE outfitters since I felt I could use some new long sleeved shirts. Then we tried out that Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro, which I guess was trying to capitalize by name dropping Copeland's and the Cheesecake Factory. In any case, it was kinda bleh, particularly for its price. I mean, I had a burger, which was okay, like how hard is it to screw up a burger. And I did like having the option of getting onion strings instead of fries, as I love onion strings. But I don't think ND or the roomie liked their entrees too much. And the spinach dip was subpar.

Cool, saw a new ep of Futureweapons. They did a bit on the Mk44 Bushmaster chambered for 30mm. That thing is just too awesome, particularly with its airburst capability. They also covered KAC's PDW, the Magpul Masada and Dillon Aero's updated version of the m134 mini-gun. I was familiar with them, but it was cool to see them in action.

Read the latest ish of Angel. I'm still not sure if I'm feeling the story. Buffy s8 has been good, but I'm not sure where Angel is going. The story is kinda confusing, and I'm curious if its because they're trying to re-introduce everyone as quickly as possible. Its like, yeah, I want to know everyone's fates, and it was interesting to see Gwen and Nina both show up. But it just seems kinda out there right now.

The roomie was showing me some new trivia games he got. One of them, which was apparently recommended by Ken Jennings, is called Cineplexity. It looks interesting. Apparently, they have a bunch of cards listing a genre, or a location, etc. So you drop two of the cards, and I'm not sure which one it is, but you have to be the first one to name something fitting both cards, or names as many as you can or something. Like if the two cards were genre: romance and location: NY, answers would be stuff like You've Got Mail and While You Were Sleeping. Interestingly enough though, since the cards are random, there's not a list of answers, I guess you have to go with group consensus or look it up on imdb or wikipedia or something to determine if an answer is right. I think I would do good at such a game.

Leaving the TV on whatever channel it was on when I first turned it on as I started surfing the web, look like USA is showing that version of a Christmas Carol with JLH and Frasier as Scrooge. Ha, they were flashbacking to the past when Scrooge and Marley were still working together, and I was trying to remember Marley's first name and I started thinking Bob at first. But I realize now its Jacob. One thing I've always wondered, the ghost of Christmas present in both this version and one of the originals, is this bearded guy wearing a wreath crown and a green robe. Scrooge is all, "You're..." but he doesn't say who it is, as if it was obvious to the audience. And I don't think he means it in a you're the ghost of Christmas present sort of way, more like a, "Oh the ghost of Christmas present is..." sort of way. But who is he? Who names their children ignorance and want?!

Ah, cool, Devil's Due has a poster for every single Cobra like they did for G.I.Joe:

Interesting, the right half of the third row is the Plague Brigade. Since they just came out in the comics, I had no idea what they looked like, but they do look cool. I also like that they have a mix of comics-only characters from both the Marvel and Image/DD run, like Scarface and the Paine Brothers (whom I always though Snake Eyes killed, but I guess not) from the former, and Heartwrencher, Lady Armada, and Wraith from the latter. Heh, they even have Hotwire, who I think was only in the G.I.Joe Collectible Card Game. There are a few I have no idea on, the grey haired guy in the tux and bow tie, the dude with the big-ass pimp hat, and the Indian chick in the top middle of the pic. I was going to say the Red Shadows weren't Cobras, but it looks like this is actually a pic of Joe enemies, not just Cobras. And the two Cobra Commanders and Croc Masters aren't a mistake. The original Croc Master died in the original run, and someone took over the name/costume. And Cobra Commander in the battle armor is really Fred VII, as the real Cobra Commander never used that armor in the comics, it was only used by Fred when he took over for a while. Anyways, I recognize a lot of them, but there are quite a few I have no idea on. Of course, I'm sure the majority of people reading this on the flist, with the exception of [livejournal.com profile] durlxnemesis see the pic and are all, "Who the frak are these guys?" even if they grew up watching the cartoon or playing with the toys.

Just saw the trailer for Torchwood season 2. Ha, so James Marsters will have a role next season? And he's doing the English accent! Which I find weird given its an English show. Well, its not that weird, I suppose. I mean, you have plenty of English and Aussies faking American accents to be on American shows, and isn't that the same thing?

Jeez, how many movies does Judd Apatow make a year? Saw the trailer for Forgetting Sarah Marshall. For some reason all the entertainment gossip sites I peruse posted it just because Kristen Bell was in a bikini. I guess its cool to see her have a big role in a movie though. Oh, and Mila Kunis too, its good to see her having work after That 70s Show beyond voice work on Robot Chicken and Family Guy.
