what the hell?! Why is it whenever you need to wake up early, that's when you can't get to sleep?!

Anyways, got some cheapo speakers for my puter last week so I didn't need headphones to listen to music off it. The quiet just seems, too quiet, so I've been experimenting with having some music playing as I try to go to sleep. The jury is still out on whether it actually helps. Its also annoying that the TV I bought six months ago to replace the really old one I was using doesn't have a sleep function. I shoulda checked for that feature. In any case, I'm not sure if having the TV on instead would be better than music. Its like talking vs singing, I guess. Talking sounds more normal, and I'm not as tempted to actually listen and sing along in my head.

Owel, off to try and get a decent amount of sleep.

So wait, in Fergie's "Glamorous" video, is she implying that she was just like some normal girl back in '94, hanging out with her friends and going to backyard cookouts? Wasn't she all white and in Wild Orchid at the time? And before that, on Kids Incorporated? Her video makes it sound like she's only now getting a taste of fame. I mean, obviously, she's more famous now then she was, but its not like she was some nobody.

Is it supposed to be in the 80s this time of year? It seems warmer than usual. While I do prefer warmer temps over colder ones, short sleeved weather is actually kinda annoying at work. I mean, since the machine rooms need to be kept cold, its a tad too cool to just be in a short sleeved shirt. So I have to carry around a jacket anyways even if its 80+ outside.

Anyhoo, saw TMNT with the usual suspects. It wasn't half bad. Visually, it looked great. The plot left a lot to be desired, but what would you really expect from this kinda movie? I actually didn't know anything about the movie beforehand. Some famous people doing the voice-acting, April O'Neil was voiced by SMG. Once I heard her for the first time on-screen I was thinking, "Who's going to be Casey Jones, Freddie Prinze Jr?" But it wasn't, Casey was voiced by Johnny Storm from the Fantastic 4 movie. Though that's pretty much same difference. Zhang Ziyi voiced the Foot ninja chick, and Splinter was voiced by Mako, who I thought was dead. Actually, he is dead, [livejournal.com profile] clevemire tells me C-note told him that he had all his lines finished before his death.

Been reading a manga series [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler lent me, Peach Girl. Its pretty good for that kinda of series. more in depth discussion )

Saw this in [livejournal.com profile] isabel79's journal, and figured it was another interesting one of these kinda things: (apparently, I have no life)

Let's go to the movies )

EDIT: And is it me, or is this like the easiest 80s TV show quiz ever? ojv('Man, its obvious!') Although I admit I did get one wrong. But researching it now, it looks like the quiz is actually wrong on that question.
