The roomie cooked dinner and had the usual suspects over to watch some HD Smallville and then Lost. The food was pretty good.

Lost was awesome and exciting. )

Smallville was kinda meh. )

South Park and Drawn Together were both hysterical. And full of things so so totally wrong. And holy shit, the shit just hit the fan here! WTF?! Time to sign off and deal with a huge pain in the ass. Damn power glitches.

While waiting for [livejournal.com profile] clevemire to pick me up after work yesterday since my car is still in the shop, I killed time at the Tech arcade. No Tekken 5 yet, which is disappointing. So, played some Time Crisis 3. Then I noticed Target: Terror. It looks like one of your generic light gun games, only I noticed you can play it two gun style. I mean, before you could just put double the amount of tokens in and just be player 1 and 2, but this lets you use 2 guns on 1 credit, which is totally cool. Its about time a game had such a feature. Strangely enough, though I'm right handed, I found myself using the left gun as my primary gun. Though if I got a full auto weapon, it felt more comfortable using the right hand. Not enough trick shots though. I mean, my favorite thing about shooting John Woo style is trying to pull off simultaneous hard shots, a la Mcmannis in The Usual Suspects in the parking garage. The original House of the Dead has a great one right in the beginning, where these two orderlies are both being chased by a different axe wielding zombie. Trying to pop off the heads of both zombies with a simultaneous double shot was pretty cool.

Prolly gonna have to kill more time at the arcade again today, so I'll prolly play more of both games. I think I'm a little too conserative with the ammo of the non-pistol weapons. I think I can use the SMG a little more, as you can hold only 200 rounds max, and I've noticed I've been wasting a lot of ammo (though is it really wasting if you never get it at all?) since I'm often at max capacity when getting SMG ammo from the enemies. So it wouldn't hurt to use it more often. But getting back to my car, hopefully it'll be done today. They say the replacement part came in this morning, and it should be done by this afternoon. That way I won't have to bum a ride off anyone the rest of this week. Besides, I need to go to Oxford to pick up stuff in my pull list and Gamestop to pick up my reserved PoP2, which showed up yesterday. And I need to get Plax and more shaving razors. Cool, and I think the last DVD I ordered should be arriving soon. Hopefully my Amazon order will as well. Ah can't wait!

Ah, what a day. It did improve as it went on. Work was kinda sucky. First, there was a power glitch which caused various problems, then there was net ishes, the investigation of which accidentally caused even more ishes. But everything got resolved. Killed time at the arcade, then the GMA gave me a ride to the auto shop. So the car is good as new. Fixed the alignment, power steering, and got around to replacing my tires, which were getting pretty bald. I must've been having problems with the power steering for a while and it slowly started getting bad. Or maybe I had just gotten used to the heavy steering, because now it feels extremely responsive. So anyways, the Intimidator is back in business. My DVD came in the mail, had dinner at the IHOP with the roomie, and hit best buy for some DVDs, Spiderman 2, Hero, and HP:PoA. Got back in time to catch Joey in HD and then watched the OC.

OC: Is it a new era? )
