Dang, the weather's getting cold now. I guess it is the fall already, and mid-october. I'm just so used to work being way colder than the outside, so I forget to keep my jacket on when its time to head to lunch. Went to dinner at Casa Del Grande last night. Prolly the last time we'll ever go there, as they switched their parking to valet. That place is okay, but not worth the hassle of valet parking. Must've been really tired last night, because I fell asleep during Smackdown. It was in Manchester, so it was odd to see the fans get all egg-cited over who would be the number one contender for the US title. And a mexican and a caribbean dude fighting it out over the US title? cliffV('What's up with that!')

Owel, stuck alone on shift today, but the other guy gave me fair warning yesterday. The big boss is out too. Well, on the plus side, there's no time for extra projects since we're understaffed. I do have a cabinet to spec out (well, I don't think they need me to do power) this weekend. And you know how I love setting those up, I can't wait! Seriously, it confuses me how people around here don't like doing it. Speaking of, I started wearing my pock-it around again. Currently in it, my leatherman super, a maglite, a space pen and a sharpie (all of which have gotten use several times this past week, so its not that extraneous!) All I need is one of them high powered lighters and a roll of duct tape, and I'll be able to handle any sitch!

More on work, came in and saw a bunch of Team America paraphernelia lying around. Including what looked like matchbooks but were actually condoms. Didn't think it would be a good think if one of the higher ups came around and saw those sitting on the desk. Well, a couple of peeps really did think they were just matchbooks. But I stuffed them all in my jacket pocket. Of course, I still posted to gtg about it, because I'm bored and posting about inane stuff is a thing to do. A read that and asked what I was talking about and I told him I stuffed them in my pocket and he was all, okay, as long as they're not going to waste. Yeah, because I'm so active in that arena.

The roomie said he pre-ordered San Andreas. That game is seriously crazy. I've been harping on gtg about how it actually seems a little overwhelming. The increase in size, that's pretty cool. New vehicles like bicycles, lawnmowers, and 18 wheelers (along with truckin' missions), that's not that big of a change either- they did add motorcycles, helicopters, and planes in the last one, so they need new vehicles. And being able to swim now is a welcome addition. Hiring thugs to help you out (I wonder how their AI is, and if they'll be effective in large shootouts), the whole having to balance between eating and exercise (eat too much, your character becomes a fatty, excersing raises stamina and strength, but too much and you'll be a slow musclehead), being able to rice out your cars and add nox, the improved shooting system closer to the fps/3ps, the ability to do stealth and stealth killing, the ability to improve your gunfighting and martial arts skills, it sounds like a lot! I really do think the developers are hardcore gamers who looked at all the games out there and were all, "what can we add from this and that?" I won't be surprised if their next game after this has online capability. I mean, with the interactivity of the current "world", and the things you can do with your character, its practically an mmorpg, without the the second m or the o. But there's too many things coming out all at once. There's that, I just got Bloodrayne 2, and then MGS 3 and PoP 2 and K-Revolution 3 come out next month. Oh, and the OC s1 box set comes out the end of the month. Its gonna be an expensive upcoming month. Well, for me anyways.

musical

So I was commenting to my little brother [livejournal.com profile] sparkyboy how I would have liked to have done a musical in high school. Well, if I was any good. Though that's no excuse for any of you married folk not to have had me as wedding singer at your wedding receptions! I'd do it for free! Of course, I have no band, so you'd prolly have to hire one. It would totally rock! You people still single, think about it!

But I digress. I actually don't know if my school did a lot of musicals. I remember seeing Annie at school, but only because the girl playing Annie was in my peer group and our peer group leader said we'd get extra credit if we went and saw it. But I don't recall any other shows they did. Of course, back in high school, I was either in the computer lab, or the library, or checking myself out in the bathroom mirror, or "off in my own world" as my junior year English teacher said, or apparently off seducing girls for points in a competition with my friends, as LC thought (which is by far the weirdest, most outlandish thing anyone has ever though about me in my life), so I must've missed the posters. I think something rocking like Grease or JC Superstar would've been cool to do. Of course, just thinking about doing Summer Nights on stage has me laughing to myself.

Alas, HS didn't suck, but it could have been way better if I was more outgoing. I can't believe I missed my 10 year reunion. Its like, thanks for the letter telling me about it beforehand! And who has a reunion in January? Though I wonder if I really would've flown back up to NYC for that. It would've been interesting to see what's been happening, but not $400 interesting.
