Had this strange dream last night. I can't remember how it started, but at one point I was driving down 30th Ave back in Astoria, and there's this guy driving like a maniac, and I suddenly think, he's trying to kill himself. Then he drives his car into a parked bulldozer in a closed off section of the street. I can't remember what else happened with that, because I turned onto Crescent Street and went into some apartment building to visit someone. And I end up in this apartment that RLC lives in. We hit it off and I tell her I'm like this multi-millionare and then I leave because she has to do laundry. So I go to the bar downstairs where I bump into some famous actor, but I can't remember who it was now. I want to say Freddy Prinze Jr, but I don't think it was him. Then I realize I left my jacket it in RLC's apartment and I go up to get it, and RLC's looking all hot dressed down. The next morning, I'm in some restaurant and Norman Chad and that other guy are there announcing its the last day of the main event of the World Series of Poker. And for some reason, RLC is one of the entrants and the only chick and famous person to make it to the last day. So she comes in, but there's no poker going on, and instead she's acting all rich and making weird requests of the restaurant like changing the whole wait staff. She see's me and invites me to join her and orders me a $200 salad. And I'm all nervous and uncomfortable because the people at the restaurant know me and know I'm not really a multi-millionare. So I tell her I lied and run to Astoria General, because in the dream I work there, but she stops me and asks me why I like her. So I go through this heartfelt sounding list and claim she's this great actress. It must've worked, because the next thing I know I'm eating with her and Michelle Trachtenberg. And some blonde actor is there who I think might have been that guy who played Lowell on Wings. All in all, a very strange dream.

I can't remember the first time I had a taco. It was at taco bell, and I remember thinking, this how you say, taco, is awesome! But alas, I didn't get to enjoy taco bell for the longest time after that. But when I did, I always got the six pack of tacos. ([livejournal.com profile] isabel79 or [livejournal.com profile] 7500centfish, where was the taco bell near y'all? I don't think it was on 110 or else I think we would've got it more often when we were kids.)

Of course, now I mix it up, with a mexican pizza, double deckers, some sort of 1/2 pound burrito or the nachos supreme. And is it me, or is a reheated day old taco bell taco almost as good as day old pizza? It was one of my favorite things for breakfast whenever I'd stay at T&E's house for the summer.

Ah, what a mess. Due to a couple of peeps taking off for Dragon Con, coupled with a family medical emergency with another, I volunteered to switch to the night shift temporarily for the labor day weekend. The sucky thing is I don't end up getting any extra OT for it. Owel, I'm gonna stay up late tonight, then head to work straight after Friday night elf-slayage. Then after a normal weekend night shift, sleep for six hours on Monday morning before heading up to C+T's again for dark elf-slayage and get back to a normal schedule.

Anyways, got plenty of things to keep me up. Rented that new Mezzo series from Oxford. Its supposed to take place after the events in Mezzo Forte, and they change Mikura's short brunette locks to a pink with pigtails look. Oh, and her eyes went from hazel to blue. But the other peeps are the same, and they even add a new character. The action scenes are pretty awesome, and its not as raunchy as the Mezzo Forte Director's Cut (which was practically pr0n with the graphic sex!) Though they still don't explain Mikura's incredible resilience! I mean, she and Kite's Sawa survive several story falls through concrete! Anyways, the version I'm watching is an import, and the subtitles can get pretty horrendous at times, so I'll prolly have to check it out again when the American version comes out in October.

Also got around to reading the latest ish of Basara [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler lent me. The story right now is pretty neat, if not a little confusing. You have Tartara and the Red King facing off as the primary conflict, but then there's the whole them really being Sarasa and Shuri complicating that. And then you have Asagi with his own agenda, and both he and Shuri having their own campaigns against their father, talk about chaos! And they have so many characters now, I find myself having to turn back and be all "Wait, who the hell is that?!" But its neat like that.

Watched this special on the Discovery channel about ninjas right now. It was a nice treatsie on the history of the ninja and their similarities to modern special forces. The connection to psychics and CIA remote viewing projects was a little thin though. Just watching Old School right now. I still think it would be cool to be a Wedding Singer.
