Dammit, I have that damn "Wonderwall" cover stuck in my head now. Well, it did work much better on the OC than it did in Smallville last week. Of course, the scene (from the OC, not Smallville) reminds me , who still buys records? Well, besides [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out, cause everyone knows he has a ginormous record collection. But its like mostly old stuff. Who still gets records for modern day releases? I guess there is some sort of demand, since they actually still do release stuff on vinyl.

Anyways, last night went to the Vortex with the roomie, [livejournal.com profile] clevemire (ha, now people know!), Joseph, C-note, [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out and the little lady, and [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler and Cykes. It was a good time, though being half blind I couldn't really check out the table of hotties sitting to my right. I thought we had ordered too many appetizers, but apparently not, since they were all scarfed down and people still had room to finish their meals. I had the coronary bypass of course, but Charlie joked about putting butter on it since there was some butter left over from one of the appetzers. I, of course, had to try it, and hey, butter on the coronary bypass kinda works.

Talked about this and that, Scott gave me the latest Mt. Vernon gossip. I really think I could pass myself off as someone from the class of '94. But sounds like there's prolly not gonna be a reunion, it would be fun to crash it and confuse the hell out of people.

Oh, BTW, the reason we went was to give me a send-off, in case I leave and never come back! How macabre! I guess I head up to NYC tonight and Flip-land tomorrow. Hopefully all goes well, and I'll give people a heads up if I manage to get some sort of internet access over there. But wow, two whole weeks possinly without internet access or American telly? I might go gnuts!

Oh, I forgot to mention I beat FFX-2 yesterday. It was pretty easy, given I'd already conquered Via Infinito, which was way harder. Of course, I also played cheap. I had Paine on the "The End" grid as a dark knight with sprint shoes and Adamantite equipped, and Rikku was a berzerker on "Ray of Hope" with Iron Duke and Rabite's Foot. So basically, Paine was your armored tank, and all of Rikku's stats, especially Luck, were off the scale. And they were actually irrelevant, because I had Yuna as a Gunner on "Mounted Assault" w/ speed bracer and cat nip. So she always acts first, is hasted, and does 9999 per hit when in critical condition. Just got Yuna to critical HP and triggerhappied all the boss parts and none of the fights lasted more than ten seconds.

Started a new game +, but alas, now I leave on holiday. Between that and television to catch up with, I sure won't be bored when I get back.
