Owel, I finally finished reading my book and beat Castlevania LoI as well last Saturday. I'm interested how the next book turns out. Cut for spoilers )

Castlevania was surprisingly easy to beat. I must've had to play Castlevania III several times before finally beating it, with much cursing ensuing, as [livejournal.com profile] isabel79 and [livejournal.com profile] 7500centfish prolly remember. I'm surprised I was able to do the Boss Rush. I usually have trouble with such events, because I tend to do trade-offs with damage, hurting myself if it can cause more pain against an enemy, not thinking to the future, hoping there'll be a chance to fix myself up after the battle's done. Of course, I also had a large stockpile of healing items, so that's prolly why I was able to make it through. I've started playing the game through with Joachim now.

Also, Charlie brought over Universe X, which I've been reading. And when I saw sis and her cycloptic boyfriend tonight, she lent me the last two His and Her Circumstances DVDs and he the D:tF book since I wanted to read up on some things in there. I was very disappointed in how His and Her ended. I heard there was a thing between the writer and the studio or something, but still, I was hoping for a better last ep than that. I also can't stand how many "recap" eps they have where they re-cap everything that occured so far. I mean, they already beat it to death in the intros, and they've had at least three eps dedicated solely to reviewing the past few eps! I know what happened, I just watched it! Its not like they have 80 eps that I needed reminding of what happened. Owel, I guess there were so many things I would've like to see resolved or delved into. Like Tsubasa and her step brother, or tall kid and volleyball girl. And they were doing something with Asapin there at the end, not that I understood anything since a lot of it was just still pictures with japanese writing around. So I have no idea what was going on in that last ep! Are Arima and Yukino still together? What the hell were Asapin and tall kid talking about in the hall?! And why is he freaked out about Arima? Does volleyball girl finally know who tall kid really is? All the narrator says is they "have conversations. conversations." Well, I figured that, tell me what they're about and in English please! I was looking forward to some closure, but I got none! Owel, at least the OC is back on.

Saw it on [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out's journal, thought I'd try it out.

Only a 61.5. I shoulda done better. There were a bunch that I kicked myself for not knowing once I found out what they were. Its like, ojv('Man, its obvious!') I did get the ones considered obscure/hard at least. Though, how they determined what's worth 1/2 and what's worth 4 points I don't know.

Cool, free leftover halloween candy at work. smarties, mentos, and jolly rancher lolly pops. Damn them, i'm gonna rot my teeth. I was also surprised to see that all the peanut butter cups at home were gone. I mean, there was a bowl and a bag full before I left Friday night, then when I checked yesterday, there was only one left. They must eaten a crapload of them at poker.

And who would really tell a girl, "you know, you are my shining star"? Anyways halfway through universe-X. It can get a little confusing at times. I already have a hard enough time to trying to think four dimensionally. But with their infinite alternate realities and their supposition that time itself is measured in three dimensions was starting to give me a headache. It is an interesting storyline though.
