Ah, I'm finishing the last of the cherry poptarts today. And never again will I buy them. I don't like wasting food, so I won't throw them out, but the frosting on the cherry poptarts looks like puke. I didn't even want cherry. I just wasn't paying attention and thought it was strawberry.

Anyways, today is the company picnic. But I'm not going, because I volunteered to help cover here. It was quite foolish, because just because we're out partying doesn't mean everyone else is on break. I think most of my friends at work wouldn't be there anyway as they either work the later shifts or don't do the company picnic thing, so I'd just be sitting by myself eating and drinking. Which doesn't sound like a bad idea right now as I think about it, because I'm starving.

And, I heard Williamson Brothers was doing the catering. Their BBQ is pretty good. Speaking of BBQ, there are plenty of good BBQ joints around town, they even had an article on git.general about it. I was surprised that I had been to every single one mentioned. I dunno, of those mentioned, I like Dreamland for their heaping meat salads, and Spiced Right for their variety of sauces. But the other joints have their pluses and minuses, which one would prolly find by going through old entries here. They'd most likely start with "So, I hit BBQ joint X last night with [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out..."

Anyways, getting back to work, I hope the Prism/Spectrum merger this weekend goes off without a hitch. Or Monday is going to totally suck ass.

What the?! Someone pulled a [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out on me. This guy on the phone kept on telling me, "Yes, ma'am." Ex-squeeze me? Are you deaf, boy? I sound nothing like a woman on the phone. The two times we spoke on the phone, I even introduced myself as "This is Anthony at the CSC..." Of course, mebbe he was saying, "Yes, man." Okay, prolly not.

Saw that Wallace posted the url to his trip webpage on gtg. Checked that out during one of the lulls. Pretty neat set up. He even included some movies of the trip. Hey Scott, since you don't have the chance to check out gtg, here's the url. He had a pic for you in the bunch.

Argh, I'm having to say too much today. And you know me, I'm a quiet, man of few words kinda guy. But with so much going on I have to make like a five minute schpeel to every person who comes in about propagation delays and mergers and wot-not. And of course, half these people are all, "Like I give a rat's ass!" The sad thing is, come Monday, there'll be plenty of people calling and saying, "I didn't hear about this!"
