You know its going to be a long support call when the customer greets you with a "I have this strange and unusual problem here...". Either it really is a strange and unusual problem, which means you'll end up wracking your brain trying to figure it out. Or its actually pretty simple, but since the customer finds it "strange and unusual", you'll spend several minutes trying to explain it to them.

So I thought it was weird when that one time at the grocery store, some lady thought I was John Leguizamo (whom I and everyone who knows me in real life will agree, I look nothing like!). Now some lady tells me over the phone that I sound Canadian. I'm all, "huh?" I don't recall ending a sentence with "eh?" or using "aboot". And she's all, "You have this weird accent, what is it?" So I tell her I'm from NY, now she'll prolly think I'm one of those upstaters. Oh, and I have an accent now?

Dang, I'm starved. I had a quick and light lunch so I could use the scanners over in the "multimedia workshop" (is it me, or does the name sound totally pretentious?) Alas, I have no change or singles to even get a snack from the vending machine. I'm definitely pigging out for dinner. We should've saved some of the left over Chinese takeout from last night (got General Tso's, Mongolian Beef, and Spicy Tuna rolls). Or mebbe I should pick up some jumbo franks from the grocery on the way home from work, since I accidentally bought hot dog buns the other day. Actually, I forgot there's some chocolate chip cookies and bbq potato chips in the cupboard.

Owel, its been a quiet afternoon so far. Just killing time working on some webpages and thinking about dinner. [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out and his wife were supposed to go to Fogo De Chao with their parental units tonight. Unfortunately, Sato got into a terrible accident yesterday (she's okay, but the car got flipped and totalled) and they're understandably not in the mood for a night out to a fancy restaurant.

Speaking of Fogo, I want to go back one of these days. Sure, its like $40, but its all you can eat meat! My mouth's watering just thinking about their bacon-wrapped beef. Brazilian steakhouses are an ingenious concept! If only they gave free refills on drinks. But getting to sit there while they bring the meat to you? Wunderbar.

I've realized, while I was living with Scott before he got married, I got to try out all sorts of interesting places in Atlanta to eat. But living with Krug, I get more home-cooked meals. Both are equally nice benefits. If I could only get both the home-cooked meals and have the wider variety of eateries to choose from when going out to eat.

Of course, mebbe I should stop thinking about food altogether, it'll make me less hungry.
