Man, I did not want to wake up this morning. But I did. This day is going a whole lot slower than yesterday. I mean, yesterday, when Krug and I went up to Cobb Parkway to try and find Neverwinter Nights, we ate at the Cumberland food court. And I remarked to him how I couldn't believe it was 730 already. The day just seemed to breeze by. But now, I've only been at work for a little over an hour and it seems like its been much longer. And we're understaffed right now due to telecommuting and peeps being out sick.

I guess I need to do laundry tonight and then pack for my flight to NYC tomorrow. That's right, in 33 hours I'll be back in my old stomping grounds, the capital of the world! I expect a hero's welcome from the throngs of my adoring female fans! But don't fret you Atlanteans! I'll be back by the weekend's end!

I was going to talk about how hungry I was when I remembered I didn't have my morning pop tarts yet. So I'm having some apple cinnamon pop tarts right now. But its not enough! I want something more meaty. And all I have for lunch is a bag of Andy Capp's Hot Fries and "pasta alfredo" Bowl Appetit! There are some jumbo franks in the fridge at home. I could sure go for a couple of those with spicy brown mustard. And chili! I think Krug is making ziti with eye-talian sausage for dinner. Ah can't wait! But getting back to hot dogs, it sucks you can't mix and match toppings. Well, a slaw and chili dog isn't too bad. Extremely messy though. Speaking of messy, I'd like to have a manwich or some sloppy joes one of these days. Oh, and there are Scooby snacks at the store. But they're for animals, not people. Even though they had peeps eat them in the movie! Little kids will start eating dog food!

So Krug and I were talking about how dominant Mickey D's was the other day, so I was all, "There's no way it could lose the franchise wars!" I mean, they're so big, they have a dozen signature characters! Ronald Mcdonald, Grimace, the Early Bird, the Fry guys, the Hamburglar, Mayor Mccheese, etc. All the other places have only one (well BK had the Burger King and they also have that "cool" kid gang, but never at the same time): Col. Sanders, Dave Thomas, Jared, the little mexican dog, the pizza hottie, the Church's chicken lady, etc.

But really, what does winning the franchise war entail? Surely if Taco Bell won, the only fast food available wouldn't be mexican? I'd figure they'd have to diversify. Mcdonalds could buy up BK and make a Macwhopper. That would be like the ultimate burger!

I think after work, I'll have a jumbo dog for a pre-dinner snack. Hey, I'm a growing boy! Okay, I guess I'm starting to reach the tail end of my prime years, but whatever. Ooh, I think there's some spray cheese left! Because spray cheese + hot dogs = mmm, mmm good! Its says so right on the can!

Speaking of food, I was thinking next week was the July 4th holiday. Interesting, since I'm at the CSC instead of Operations this year, this will be the first time I've had it off since 1999! Anyhoo, I only mention it because I usually go to Scott's parents house for a cookout! Ah, but this is his first holiday as a married man, so he gots the old ball and chain with him this time. Supposedly her father comes to town that day. I'd like to meet him. For some reason, whenever I think about Sato's father, I imagine that guy from Fist of Legend. You know, the uncle of Jet Li's love interest whom he has that pretty awesome fight sequence in the cemetary with? I don't know why I think of her father as some martial arts bad ass instead of your typical Jap CEO. But her brother is an ex-champion boxer. I was thinking it would be cool if Scott had to fight him for the right to marry his sister. It could be like Karate Kid II. And he could go through one of those cool 80s training montages and then when he wins, Peter Cetera could start singing "Glory of Love" in the background. That would be as keen as Alex P. Keaton.

Dang, I no longer have that Glory of Love song stuck in my head. For some reason I was reminded of that movie "Vision Quest". Which of course, had Madonna's "Crazy for You" on its soundtrack. So now that song is echoing through my head. Argh!

liar!

Caught the tail end "Where the Heart Is" after rasslin'. My favorite part is when Novalee goes to find Forney at college after driving that Pickens dude back to Tennesee. So she's telling him the story of how she drove her friend back to Tennesse, then she starts to reveal how she pretended not to love him so he would go back to college and make something of himself. She's all, "I lied, Forney." And he's all "You didn't drive your friend to Tennesee?!" Ha! That's some funny stuff! Yeah, I'm an idiot! But idiocy is bliss!
