So Scott ([livejournal.com profile] psyched_out) was concerned when he saw I hadn't updated my LJ on Friday. He was all, "OMG! Is he dead? The ladies of the world will be very sad!" Okay, he didn't say that. But he figgered something was up. Which was that I called in sick on Friday because I was feeling really crappy. I always get sick this time of year. Its the damn temperature fluctuations. Its unbearably hot one week, cool the next, the body doesn't adjust well.

Anyways, I slept in, which helped. But my throat was real sore and all we had was OJ, whereas I prefer Citrus Punch as it goes down easier. So Krug (who had also taken off) and I went to IHOP for lunch. I had the sausage, biscuits, and gravy, with a side of cheese grits. I can't remember who suggested it first ([livejournal.com profile] mike_b?), but I finally tried mixing in scrambled eggs with the grits. Not too bad, it turns a couple of scrambled eggs into a much more filling meal. And more filling is good. Got a gallon of Citrus Punch afterwards, which lasted only until Saturday night. (And that's without Ben breaking into it!)

Saturday was helping Scott and Sato move. Which was pretty miserable considering my condition. Drove to Sato's with Chris and her, while Scott and Krug went and picked up his dad's pickup over in Ellenwood. I swear he was using the blue chevy last week, even though they did replace it with the white F-150 a while ago. Perhaps I'm shifting realties again?! Anyways, looked through Chris's CD collection. Mostly metal. I made him put on "Apocalyptica" because it sounded interesting. Of course, I didn't really hear any of it because I was deaf from the stuffed up ears. He also had a CD-R of A Flock of Seagulls! I was all cliffV('What's up with that?!')

After we packed up the trucks, we hit Ted's Montana Grill in Peachtree City. So now I can finally say I've been to PTC. Tried the Bison Burger, which was pretty good. I couldn't decide whether I wanted the Avalon or the Breakfast burger. The Breakfast burger has a fried egg (don't knock it until you've tried it!) and ham, whereas the Avalon had bacon and ham. I opted for the more traditional Avalon. It was pricy, but Scott was all, its on him, since we're helping him move. And boy did he luck out. Our Ben Affleck looking waiter "zoned out" so Krug never got his food until after we were all done. So the manager not only gave it to him free, they took $20 off the bill. And gave us 2 $5 coupons. So it was only $25 for 5 people! Crazy!

Was passing in and out on the way back to Scott's. I felt bad not being able to help them carry the big stuff, but I was just out of it by then. And Sato was insisting I rest anyways. She's such a sweetie, she even gave me juice and medicine! Oh, we also learned that their next door neighbor is Sinth!! Unbelievable! Krug and Chris were not amused. They regaled Sato with the story of how he shirked on the community service Dean Moore gave them all those years ago. Oh my, that was half a decade ago!

After taking a short nap, we hit Mansell and saw Undercover Brother. It was cool. It had some really funny parts. Sunday was uneventful, just the usual going to church and talking to the parentals. Hit the grocery store. Bought some cold medicine and some more citrus punch. It looks like this week's menu will have lasagna with eye-talian sausage and bacon wrapped meatloaf. Ah can't wait!

Whoa.

Oh boy, am I loopy right now! I think I'm hopped up on cold medicine. I'm like zoning in and out and feeling quite detached. I'm ready to just fall face first on my keyboard and pass out. I want to go home. But there's still three and half hours of work left!

Ah, just a half hour to go. Which is good because its like the frontal lobe of my brain feels numb, and I'll space out every few minutes. But not enough to not notice hot chyx! I'm not made of stone people! So, occasionally I'd break out of my reverie to help some hottie in distress. Not that I didn't give the same level of help and attention to the other, mostly foreign national (what's up with that?), customers. Actually, I've been lolly-gagging and zoning out as I type this that I see it is only ten minutes til going home time. How fortuitous!
