I'm still quizzing everyone I know about that comedy of errors from Monday. Okay, it wasn't really a comedy of errors. My main concern was that, although I got the digits (yes, they're for real), it sounded like a total blow off because she mentioned how busy she was this week. I mean, I guess she could be saying she is busy, because she is in fact, busy. What with the two jobs and all. I guess its the way TV has really warped my view of how normal human interaction should be like, I wasn't satisfied because it didn't go as smoothly as those WB shows. Despite my best efforts, I wasn't really witty or charming at all. And the conversations didn't have any witty repartee. Whatever. I should stop obsessing about it, especially on a semi-public forum.

But that's what I do. That's why I need so many things going on at one time. If I don't totally occupy my mind, I start thinking. If I start thinking, I start obsessing over every little thing that may or may not have gone wrong. I mean besides the aforementioned above, I won't rest until I know the status of the CPC position. The majority of my co-workers are confident that I'll get it, but until I get that first paycheck, I'm not gonna believe it. squiggyv('I'll see it, when I believe it!') So those of you who have to deal with me asking the same things over and over and over again, bear with me!

One of the other things I like about work besides the internet access and the having to "monitor" the cable, is sometimes you get to play with power tools! So we're drilling holes in these new cabinets for all the wires. Got to use a $48 stepper drill bit. I don't have one of those at home! The drill did get a bit out of control at times, but then Swamp showed me how to improve my technique. So after getting a better (not stronger) grip on the drill, no problems! I generally feel that my work sometimes looks kinda shoddy, but I think I'm improving. Anyhoo, there's this green case with a mysterious pneumatic tool that we're gonna eventually get to use. I think its some kind of punch. Very interesting!

Finally, here's a post that has nothing to do with promotions or hottie waitresses:

Well, I did my usual Oggsford/Lenox trip after work. Actually, I guess the story really starts at lunch. As I heated up my food in the microwave, M2 was showing that Zero 7 video, "Destiny". I like the song, and video is kinda neat. Anyways, after one of the "more funner" days at work I've had in a while (give me some tools and tell me to make something, and I'm happy!), I hit Oggsford, which had nothing, then had a slice of pepperoni at the Lenox food court.

Afterwards, hit HMV, because I had a theory. I know I had heard that Destiny song somewhere before, but I couldn't remember where. Then I went to the soundtrack section, and sure enough, it was on the Roswell soundtrack. Then when I went to American Eagle Outfitters to pick up some collared shirts in anticipation of my temporary transfer to customer support, I got a free CD since I made my purchases with my American Eagle Clear Card. Sure enough, one of the songs on their "songs of summer" CD was indeed "Destiny".

Drove home, and tried cutting across Springwood to get to Collier. Which would have worked if they weren't filming something. Not sure what, but the crew was parked all along the side of the road, making it pretty tight. I ended up hitting a squirrel too, since it was too tight to weave out of the way and I couldn't slow down in time. I was hoping I missed it since I didn't hear or feel anything (then again, it is a squirrel), but when I looked in my rear view it was sprawled on the ground. Owel.

Anyways, after watching my tape of last night's Roswell, put the new CD on and just lay in bed listening and thinking. And as I lay there, I kept worrying I'd close my eyes and wake up back in 1993 in a dorm room in Hoboken. "Wha?" you say? Its like that thing I always say about rewinding time, it seems like if it ever happenned, that's where I'd go. June 1993, Engineering Camp at Stevens in Hoboken, waking up late for the advanced computing class. I don't know why that particular time. Mebbe it was because it was the beginning of summer before Senior year, and there were so many things that could happen both that summer and senior year. What if I had gone to Rensselsaer? Or asked Rachel to the prom instead. But like I said, I like what I have now too much to change anything.

Hit Kroeger to pick up a TV Guide then Wendy's for Dinner. As I drove there I noticed the trees were all particularly leafy. Its like the foliage is extra thick. Mebbe I'm just imagining things, but the trees just seem full of leaves.

Anyways, i prolly would have gotten this entry finished a lot sooner if I wasn't trying to watch DC and Felicity at the same time. Speaking of which, hey, I think Katie Holmes is a totally mad-cute hottie, but this "she is so great" bent they've been doing on DC is a little lame. Everyone loves her, guys want to give up their dreams for her to worship at the altar of Joey Potter. Please! And it looks like they're trying to pair her back up with Dawson. ugh. And OMG! Ben just proposed to Felicity. Okay, I'm not that excited about that, I was just reminded of the time when I was sitting in the movie theater for some movie and these totally frat boys were yammering on how cool it was that Chandler proposed to Monica! I was like, are they for real?
