Owel, woke up early so I could catch Kill Bill. Pretty cool movie. I thought it was quite stylish, a nice homage to the old westerns and martial art movies of the 70s. I think the soundtrack really worked too. And that one anime sequence was awesome albiet quite bloody.

How obvious was it that her child was still alive? I'm not a doctor, but if something pretty bad happens to the mother, does she automatically go into labor if she's like in her third trimester? I wasn't sure if there was some reflex sort of action where the body forces the baby out if the mother is dead/dying? I would think there was. And conversely, if the child dies in the womb, doesn't the mother go into labor soon afterwards?

And is it me, or was the man who killed O-Ren Ishi's parents actually Bill? Its looked like he wore similar rings, and I can see that being a cartoon rendition of a young David Carradine? Which is quite ironic since O-ren killed that boss who ordered her parent's death, but didn't actually kill the guy who personally killed her dad. Ironic, if it was Bill and she started working for him.

Anyways, it had a lot of dark humor, interesting though gory action sequences, and as said before, a pretty cool style in my opinion. But don't take my word for it, go see it for yourself. Or you could go see Intolerable Cruelty.

Got a Matrix Revolutions trailer (looks awesome) and a trailer for this movie Bad Santa where Lauren Graham looks pretty hot. Then again, she's always pretty hot.

Anyways, got home had some Pork tenderloin. It was originally supposed to be for dinner last night, but we ended up going to Willy's/Oxford instead. As always, the roomie made a very tasty meal. He also made some brownies. Though I actually forgot to have any of those. I would to be a fool.

i just saw it today. Gratuitous violence was tolerable. For some reason it did not bother me as much as the violence in Windtalkers. Anyway I'll definately see the next one whenever it comes out.

I don't know what to think about the child birth. I think it will take alot energy to abort/give birth to the baby. I guess [livejournal.com profile] isabel79 would have an answer by now, otherwise she can do the research. I did not think the child was alive, but now considering that she was close to term and still alive she could have given birth even though she was in a coma. But she lost a lot of baby weight during that coma.

I thought the guy who killed her father was Bill too. Lucy Liu didn't want revenge. She just wanted Tokyo. Too bad that Lucy's personal bodyguard got killed. She was really cool.

One question I had was I thought Daryl Hannah was not acting any more? What was her last movie? Splash?

Well, I think it sucks O-Ren Ishii got killed as well. Though what does she need a bodyguard for? she's bad-ass! But her bodyguard was pretty cool as well. And Sofie Fatale was cute too. Multi-lingual chyx are hot! It sucks Uma Thurman had to kill/maim them all, it was a neat little gang.

Daryl Hannah is still around, she just hasn't been anything that big. She was in Dancing at the Blue Iguana that I mentioned in another entry. And she played Shane West's mother in that Mandy Moore movie "A Walk to Remember".

As for the violence, I don't think it was that bad because it was campy, but I guess I'm also desensitized to stuff like that by now.
