TV commentary:

Legacies- Keep it in your pants! Could there be anymore eye-effin going on between Ketch and Rowena this ep?

And what the hell, Chuck had secretly cast down Kevin to hell this whole time, and because of that he can't go to heaven?! And so they let him out of the cage over the town so he can wander the earth, prolly doomed to become a feral ghost. They better fix this!

And interesting, looks like Chuck's power is diminished. And as such, when he goes to visit Amara for help, she realizes she can finally jump somewhere and be free of his ass because he's not powerful enough to follow.

Legacies- Oh, heh, that's why they voted him out, I totally forgot! I didn't remember the skull fountain that takes away their powers.

But heh, does everyone Hope meets fall for her? So on her hunt for the troll (which was actually a cyclops) last week, she ends up at MF High. There she bumps into both Maya and Ethan, who are both instantly taken with her.

Anyways, she also bumps into Alaric, who is the new MF High principal. She tries to play herself off as a random hunter, but when they end up having to team up to fight the MotW, he is astute enough to figure out they've teamed together before. I thought there was going to have be some convincing or explaining, but nope, he quickly ascertains that it must be a Malivore thing.

Still, she keeps mum about who she was to him. Until the end, when she randomly bumps into Landon, who apparently still has residual memories of her that make him buy her her favorite milkshake. Well, technically, he saw her from afar first. Then he had the sudden urge to get a peanut butter milkshake with whipped cream on the bottom, and then when he runs into her again, feels compelled to give it to her. But not before asking her advice on what to do about his troubles with Josie (more on that later), twisting the knife even further.

So, heartbroken and alone, she finally tells Alaric who she is and how he's like a father to her, and so he takes her in. Heh, good thing no one noticed him hugging a random female student alone in the high school at night. How is he going to explain her to people? Where is she going to live? Its not like he can fake her being a relative of his from out of town either, because his actual daughters would know that's a lie.

Speaking of which, as I said, Josie and Landon end up being kinda awkward the first day of school. Landon is apparently a big hero because everyone thought he defeated Malivore. So random witch girls are totally hitting on him in front of Josie. And she responds by giving them psychic nosebleeds.

But yeah, they go on a date, and Landon is perturbed that she's all weird afterwards. He thinks she's mad, but its just she's sick because he took her to a sushi place and she's allergic to seaweed, but her co-dependency made her not want to say anything. She's used to being the caretaker, and Landon went from zero to hero, so she was kinda lost. Which truthfully, that should be a sign that they're not going to work out.

Like she says she'll learn to be better and not try to sublimate her own needs, but the fact that him being troubled over the summer and her being able to help is what attracted her to him doesn't bode well for their relationship.

Anyways, there's a new headmaster played pretty well by Alexis Denisof. He's a witch, who outright says they're better than humans and one day they won't need to hide their gifts. That doesn't seem to give the teacher pause for some reason. But yeah, its funny, but they're not even trying to disguise the fact that he's evil. Like he noticed Josie giving the girl the nosebleed and she thinks she's in trouble. I mean, when he tells her next time she should use a certain magical prefix to put in a time delay so she can cast a spell and be out of sight before the spell goes off, her face looks like she thinks he might be doing that thing where the authority figure is all, "you should have done X, pretty dumb, you would've gotten away with it!"

But nope, he's being sincere here, and totally invites her to be part of his new offensive magic club. Some people online were comparing him to Horace Slughorn here, but Slughorn was obviously a hanger on who liked to gather gifted and important people to make himself seem more important. But Vardemus' intentions here seem very much more overtly dark (at least to the audience)

Lizzie meanwhile takes a page out of the "Yes Man" book and says she's just going to say yes to everything and see where the universe takes her. So Kaleb tells MG this is his chance. So he makes his move and Lizzie reluctantly says yes. Only when Alaric calls MG to MF High to wipe Maya's memory of seeing Hope and Alaric fighting the not-Troll, he's late.

And so Lizzie ends up meeting a random supernatural named Sebastian. Who's possibly a vampire the way he was acting all Anne Rice-ish. But he's got the same kinda dangerously seductive personality as Klaus or Damon, so she's falling hard.

Which poor MG. He tells Kaleb how he really sees Lizzie, who advise him to tell her that. And so he goes to do that. Only she just had another flirt session with Sebastian. And Lizzie kinda knows the score with MG, she goes to apologize and let him down easy, and while doing so tells her what draws her to Sebastian. He doesn't know her baggage, so its like a fresh start with him. Which obviously tanks MG's play of wanting to tell how well he knows her and he loves all of it. And so he plays it off and says its all good and tells her he's happy for her.
