TV commentary:
Game of Thrones- So that happened. I think Dany's turn would've worked out better if they spent a little more time chronicling her descent into madness. Like people say, "Oh, she's always been ruthless!" and sure, to her enemies, and if she burned the surrendering soldiers instead of rando civilians, that would make a little more sense. Like, she did just lose Jorah, Missandei, and Rhaegal, learned Jon has a better claim to the throne than her AND is more liked, had one of her closest advisers betray her.
So she had a lot to be upset about. But she went from 0-60 in like no time. Like you can't just say, "Oh, its been a week, and look, her hair is frazzled! She must be nuts!"
I also wish they did a better breakdown of Dany and Cersei's armies. Because honestly, after all her losses in these past two seasons, I thought Dany was screwed. But apparently not! I mean, the dragon helped, and I'm just going to chalk it up to dragons being more maneuverable than we thought, so if she knows to look out for the Scorpions, then she can get Drogon to avoid everything. Its pretty thin though.
Anyways, it was unfortunate they undid all of Jaime's character development, and heh, it seems some are upset that Cersei's death didn't match the prophecy. Which speaking of, are the green eyes Arya's supposed to shut Dany's now?
Barry- Did that happen? Did Fusches just kill Gene? I mean, we don't see it, but we didn't see Janice die either. I mean, it'll be interesting to see how this goes. Like if Gene was killed, then that's one less thing Barry has hanging over him since Fusches is writing a narrative that Gene murdered her all along, and then finally killed himself over the guilt.
If he's not dead, then that's definitely a big monkey wrench for Barry. Because Gene will want answers, and the road might eventually lead to Barry.
And hey, looks like Barry molded Noho Hank's men into an effective fighting force. But they're so competent now, it seems like they won't be willing to follow a fool like Hank.
Supergirl- Finally! Alex gets her memories back, so she and Kara are back to being sisters. Alex isn't the only one who finds things out. Lena confronts Agent Liberty, who really wac clueless about working for Lex, so needless to say, he's pissed. He ends up confronting Otis and killing him.
Brainy and Dreamer get captured trying to rescue the missing aliens. Only while torturing Brainy, they "reboot" him into his more cold and logical self. And so after escaping, he doesn't rescue Nia, telling her to astrally project once she's wherever the prisoners are going to tell him where the ship is. Oh and he also gets J'onn captured as well to "double the odds of success". rjv('Cold blooded!')
And Lex apparently defeated and possibly killed Red Daughter offscreen saving American from a "Supergirl led Kaznian attempted invasion of the US". Since the president is in his pocket, the people are gonna believe it when he says it!
Legends of Tomorrow- I mean, he made the best choice he could. Like he would have no idea Astra got corrupted and turned to the dark side. And Ray would NEVER agree to being the one who got to leave instead of what they thought was an innocent girl.
And interesting, Tabitha tricked Nora into taking her Fairy Godmother curse.
Arrow- Heh, where the hell do they go from here? This should've been the series finale! So in the present Oliver stops his sister and the Ninth Circle and he and the team are absolved. But we find out that as part of his deal to save Kara and Barry back during the crossover, he agreed to join the monitor in fixing some crisis that will affect the multiverse, a journey he's apparently destined to die in.
And that is why Mia (and William, since they were going to ask for shared custody with the grandparents now that the Emiko threat was done) grew up without a father, because Oliver had to leave to travel the multiverse.
And then in the end of the future, the Monitor takes Felicity to wherever Ollie is. So yeah, everything was tied up nicely into a little bow, how is there another season? I guess it could be all about Ollie's adventures, but that means everyone else won't be around!
Flash- Bittersweet ep. So Ralph stops them from destroying the knife, but he literally gets scrambled so they don't know why he did it until Sherloque figures it out later. Once they do though, they figure they'll cure young Grace so they won't have to destroy the dagger.
They manage to cure her, but the dark matter in the knife is too strong to let her heal, so Barry is forced to destroy the knife anyways, allowing Thawne to escape. And his plan ends up erasing Nora. Well, there is a way to save her, to send her into the negative speedforce, since that will allow her to survive timeline changes like this much like Thawne is able to. But Nora refuses, as she doesn't want to go dark like Thawne.
And so she says a tearful goodbye to her parents. Like, are they still having her, but now her whole future has changed because of the events of the season, so that version of her no longer exists?
But the gang is sad, but they deal with it. Cisco cures himself so he can have a normal life, and I guess he made a new costume for Caitlin? Sherloque is possibly reunited with his gf, and Ralph goes back to PI work and possibly will meet his future wife? Oh, and Flash's disappearance is now moved up to 2019!
The 100- Mysterious! So apparently Sanctum has nightblood related mysteries too. They were already to kick Clarke and her people out, until they find out she has nightblood. But, since Clarke doesn't fully trust these people, she tells them to keep Maddie's nightblood status a secret.
But yeah, apparently there's another group outside the shield, who try to kidnap the nightbloods among the Sanctum people, successfully getting one. Apparently they need them before some ritual called the Naming Day. Wonder if its more AI stuff. And if so, not only is Maddie being a nightblood a big deal, but the fact that she has the flame. After all, its tech from the Sanctum people's era, so they might have similar objects. Like the fact that the one girl was going to be the 7th of some name, maybe they get implanted with something like the flame. And maybe that's why the group outside (the Children of Gabriel) want to get their hands on a nightblood.
Anyways, not everybody gets to go inside the shield. Bellamy abandons his sister, thinking she's too far gone. (which is total BS!) and she ends up challenging the CoG and getting captured by them.
Diyoza also gets kicked out- like they're fine with her at first, all, we'll take care of your baby. But once they hear her name, apparently she's in the history books alongside Hitler and Bin Laden, and as such, they can't have her around. Which, as I said last year, I bet there's more to her history than what the books say.
Heh, but are the other psychos on the ship getting a second chance, or are they staying in cryo?
