Legacies- Huh, so big reveal! We find out while the girls and Alaric and Caleb and Dorian and Emma were doing their thing, Landon, Raf, and MG went on a road trip to see MG's dad.
Landon kinda projected on MG and forced him to confront his father being distant. Turns out, his father wasn't ignoring him on purpose, as part of the deal Alaric made with MG's mom to let him attend the school, they let his father believe he was dead. Which leads to a set of very unfortunate consequences.
First, this road trip was ill advised because its a full moon, and though Landon and MG thought they could get back to school in time, they didn't. So they tie Raf up and that would've been that. But unfortunately, MG, distraught over the experience with her father, goes all ripper and kills Landon! Raf in turn bites MG in a rage at his best friend being killed.
Of course, the others don't find any of his out immediately. They return from their trip, concerned than Raf, Landon, and MG are missing. They find Raf, who's missing his memory, and they slowly piece together what happened over the course of the ep. At first, Raf thinks maybe he hurt Landon and MG during his transformation. Its not until they find MG's wounded form that Raf remembers everything.
Hope is devastated at the loss of another loved one, but she's still willing to cure MG with her blood. Raf, however is not so forgiving, and he and Caleb (who vowed to protect MG because they're family, even if not by blood) are about to throw down. But then Landon's body goes up in flames and he rises from the ashes. So looks like he's a phoenix!
