geebsThe soundtrack for the Rent Live musical comes out digitally this Friday, but they have "Rent", "Out Tonight", "Take Me or Leave Me", "I'll Cover You (Reprise)", and of course "Seasons of Love" out from it already. Unlike most of the JCS Live soundtrack, these are studio recordings, not taken from the performance (or rather the dress rehearsal)
Which is fine, because the songs so far sound really good. Sure, it may not be as raw or real as a live performance, but it doesn't sound dodgy like some of the songs did during the actual show.
Heh, also, it is fine when a singer sings a song their own way, but it can be slightly annoying because you can't sing along because they're not singing it in the way you're used to. Like "I'll Cover You (Reprise)" sounds amazing, but its not what I'm used to. That being said, Vanessa Hudgens does a pretty good job on "Take Me or Leave Me", maybe not as powerful as Idina or Eden Espinosa, but her little touches were cute.
And wth, the soundtrack has 44 tracks?! I guess because they include all those answering machine messages.

Flash- Heh, that's kinda hilarious! So last ep, Barry was all eggcited, "We'll wake up Cicada's niece! And through the power of love, we'll stop him!" Nope! Turns out she hates metas as much as he does. Hmm, so is the Cicada "he never caught" actually her rather than her uncle, since we see an older female Cicada in her head?
But argh, Team Flash was close to finding out Nora has a secret, but Sherloque didn't call her out. I guess he doesn't know exactly what he has yet, so he's waiting, but its still frustrating. Also, is Nora going to warn them the doctor lady is not to be trusted? (Or do they already know she's a bad guy?)
