Rent- Didn't get to watch this live. Its really unfortunate the Roger guy broke his foot and they had to use the dress rehearsal footage for most of it. Seriously, no understudies? Like yes, I'm sure if Vanessa Hudgens had been the one unable to perform, the audience would be disappointed if they got some rando instead of her. But she's prolly the biggest star in the cast.
Like no offense to their Roger, but he's prolly one of the least famous people in the show- I'm guessing after Vanessa, its a toss up between Jordan Fisher and Valentina, then "that lady from the Greatest Showman" (yeah I know her name, but I bet that's what most people said when they saw her in this. And she's not even playing a main character!), then Kiersey Clemmons and Tinashe, and then the rest of them. But yeah, they shoulda had backups. Wonder if they'll start to in the future.
Anyways, its disappointing because the show didn't get a fair shake. People will always wonder, what if the guy didn't break his foot and they got to perform for real.
But since I'm more used to the movie soundtrack, I forgot there are other songs not in the movie, and some songs that are different- the movie version of La Vie Boheme doesn't have that Maureen/Joanne stuff. Also, I'm surprised how much of the lyrics I actually know from the soundtrack and found myself singing along. (Which, as much as I love the Tom Collins' songs, I do not have the voice for them)
Heh, the last act was live, and you'd think if the Roger guy already has all this hanging over him for breaking his foot, he'd do a better job when they started performing for real. But like Maureen and Joanne come up the stairs with Mimi and he's like "NOOOOO!", but in a very deadpan manner:

I kinda cracked up at that.
Arrow- Pretty clever! I had a feeling there was something fake about Diaz' escape, even before Curtis' death. Like I figured they were letting him escape to let him lead them to that guy they were hunting. So I was thinking, are they just pretending to die? Did Curtis use some sort of life model decoy? But nope the answer was simpler, Curtis was able to induce a VR fantasy in Diaz's head.
Which seems like a freaking huge deal. He could make a fortune marketing the next form of entertainment. And its funny that he had no qualms developing this for a secret government organization. I mean, he had some qualms, because they could really do some effed up things to get what they want out of prisoners. But I guess VR stuff is still preferable in his mind to cortex bombs.
Only Diggle is all, "Well, we still want to do the cortex bomb thing, because we do still need boots on the ground". Which, Digg's excuses and justifications do seem lame. He's all, we'll stop when we catch this guy. But Curtis rightly says, there'll always be another guy. But instead of quitting, and marketing his development as a billion dollar gaming endeavor, he's just, "I'm going to speak up more when I don't like things you do!" Okay?
Black Lightning- Color me surprised! I did not expect the Reverend to be killed off in the first five minutes, and I certainly did not expect Khalil to die from his injuries. When Tobias didn't kill him last week, I thought, okay, I guess he's sticking around. Guess not! But he did get to have that psychic fantasy prom with Jen before he died, so he went peacefully.
But man, she's going to be trouble for Tobias. I wonder what team Black Lightning is going to do, because they're gonna have trouble reigning her in.
They will have their hands full though. Tobias' new tech nerd breaks that evil doctor lady out of prison, and she leads them to the secret room containing the Masters of Disaster.
