TV commentary:

Castlevania- Rewatching that one bad-ass scene from Castlevania's second season, something just occurred toe me. So, the first time watching it, when the gang storms into the entry hall of the castle, I was thinking, did Sypha just create those icicles from like water in the atmosphere or something?

The second time around though, I realized, even though the majority of the holy river water that got into the castle from when Sypha dragged it to the Belmont hold rushed out the door when the door opened, the rugs and such were prolly still soaked in it. And that's where she got the water for her ice attacks from. So, I think that's a clever little touch.

Doctor Who- Nothing much to say about this ep, other than how very weird it was to see Chris Noth guesting. I mean, they've had American actors on before, but if you wanted me to come up with a list of American actors who could possibly show up on Doctor Who, Chris Noth would not have even occurred to me.

Heh, also, since I never watched SaTC, its always weird to hear people refer to him as Mr Big, since he'll always be that Law and Order guy to me. Oh, actually, have one thing to say. Wait, is Yaz just assuming the Doctor will be able to pop her back in 5 minutes later, so her family will think she really did just run to the store for 5 minutes when she's really had a whole bunch of adventures?

I mean, I guess that did happen with Amy and Rory, and Clara. I'm just stuck on Rose where she disappeared for months the first time, and the other companions do manage to the double life thing rather easily.

And she's the only one who really has family. Ryan and Graham only really have each other, so its not like they have someone else waiting for them.

Walking Dead- So this is how it happens? Rick gets bucked off his horse and impaled into some rebar, all while 2 huge zombie mobs head toward him. I mean, the promos seem to indicate he's able to escape somehow, but those could also be close to death hallucinations.

And will Maggie be blamed, feel guilt? Because Rick wouldn't have been out there if Maggie hadn't run off to Alexandria to kill Negan. And since Rick and Daryl went after her (well, Rick did, Daryl purposely tried to mislead him), he wasn't around when the Saviors showed up at the camp, one of them having gotten their hands on a gun because they figured out it was Oceanside killing them and wanted a confrontation.

Like Carol was there, and she does have authority and good instincts, but who knows if cooler head would've prevailed if Rick was also around. But yeah, even then, because a firefight started, the hordes that were supposed to miss the camp were attracted to the gunfire. And so after Rick and Daryl managed to get out of that pit, Rick needed to lead them away.

And where did Anne go? Will they explain the whole deal with the chopper soon? It'll be interesting to see where this all leads.

Video game blather:-

Warriors Orochi 4- Warriors Orochi 4 came out a couple weeks ago, and so I've fallen into that hole again. Way more characters this time, even after getting rid of the Ninja Gaiden folks, Joan of Arc, and Achilles. The last of which is amusing, since they added Greek gods to this new one.

Some people claim there's not enough content, but I like the new additions. The magic system is neat, it adds a bunch of variety to how you can attack. So in addition to the normal and charge magic attacks shared by people who use the same sacred treasure, they all have a unique magic attack. That's in addition to their musou. And they even get a different more powerful attack when they musou while under rage.

Plus the deified characters have even more stuff. Heh, some people are salty that he Wu didn't get any deified characters- its jut lu bu, cao pi, mitsunari, naotora li, guan yingping, oda, yukimura, and zhao yun. So Shu gets two, and Wu gets none. I mean, technically Jin has none either, but Jin/Wei are basically the same thing.

I also like the addition of monsters. I guess the biggest problem of the game is it highlights how the developers spent more time perfecting the SW characters than they did the DW characters. I mean, there are way more DW characters to deal with, but then also anyone can use any weapon. So the DW movesets pale in comparison to the SW ones.

I mean, SW have hyper charges, which are just way too powerful and convenient. Like a DW character, I have to hop on a horse to try and run something down, whereas SW character I can just hyper charge into a crowd. The only thing DW has better is the musous. They get an air musou, and when a DW character does a musou during rage, they'll keep on attacking until the musou bar runs out. Which is way more fun than the SW guy's single instantaneous musou attack from rage.

Of course, to get the divine power gem for activating rage, you gotta kill a chaos origin while having a hit combo if more than 300. And they may not always be in a convenient part of the board, and there's a limited amount.

I've still only played a handful of characters, can't wait to try all of them out.
