The 100- Heh, they really didn't see that coming?! So Madi has been following Clarke's dictate to not stand out and thus seem like a threat. Unfortunately, she's not too good at looking bad without making it look like she's trying to look bad. So Gaia totally knows that's what she's doing. But she's also, yeah, do what Clarke says, just do a little better job at faking being sucky.
Because she's still a believer in the Commanders, so she would also like Madi to stay alive until the right time, because her blood makes her destined for greatness.
So when Octavia makes her spar with the other young warriors, she fakes it at first, but then gets tired of holding back and shows her true badass self, much to the chagrin of Clarke and Gaia. But really, what did they think was going to eventually happen? Madi idolizes Octavia. She was the one who revealed herself to Octavia. I'm not sure if Gaia's speech inflated her worth, or upset her at Gaia wanting to eventually replace O with her, but either way, she's put herself in as Octavia's second now.
Which, its kinda oddball how they're making Octavia act. Like I don't think she's power hungry, or if she wants to hold onto power, its because of some twisted idea that only she can save everyone and they're doomed if she isn't in charge to hold things together. But the way she talks about Madi being her second comes off in a sinister tone, like she's planning to get Madi killed, when in reality, it seems more like she thinks Madi is bad-ass and wants to take her and mold her!
But yeah, its also kinda bonkers to see Octavia resorting to biological warfare to kill the ex-prisoners. That seems a bit extreme! Needless to say, Indra's not pleased with this, and I'm guessing she and Cooper will have a showdown one day for Octavia's soul.
In the valley, we find out more about Diyoza and Zeke. So as I said, Diyoza might not be the terrorist she's been made out to be. Zeke says when he was a kid, in the aftermath of some war, there were aircraft carriers loaded with refugees, and it was Charmaine who led the charge to push choppers off the decks to make room for more of them. So he believes in her heart.
So when Eligus ordered the Captain to head back with the stuff they'd mined and to leave the prisoners behind, he freed Diyoza to stop all that. He tells Raven all this when she asks for his help- he wants her to know Diyoza isn't as bad as she seemed, and his guilt over getting the crew killed (even if it was to stop them from abandoning people who they shouldn't) makes him think he's not a good guy.
Anyways, unfortunately, that doesn't work for Echo, so she kinda forces Raven's hand by telling Diyoza she discovered it wasn't Raven who locked them out of the missile system, it was Shaw. So Raven has to run with it, showing Diyoza on the terminal, thus giving Echo access to insert the thumb drive while Raven distracts Diyoza with the explanation.
So Monty can blind the eye in the sky (more on that in a minute), but Zeke ends up getting beat up and collared, thrown in with the rest of the refugees. Raven is deeply upset at having to betray him like that, so I'm guessing her and Echo's friendship is gonna be strained. Also, thank goodness Emori and Murph have Mcreary prisoner, because that would've been really bad if he was around for all this.
But yeah, it might all be for naught, because Clarke gave Monty Jasper's suicide note, in which he rants about humanity is a plague on this world. So with all the lying and possible biological warfare, Monty is all, "Do any of us even deserve the valley, if we're all willing to do such evil things to get it!"
So instead, Clarke decides to contact Diyoza to make some sort of deal, not that we know what it is yet. But also, Diyoza's preggers! Wonder who the father is, hopefully not Mcreary!
