TV commentary:

Westworld- I had a feeling that's what was going to happen. So we find out William's wife killed herself after finding out all the monstrous things he had done in the parks. Which seems a bit extreme in my book! Some other person does something horrible and YOU kill yourself in embarrassment?! Or I guess horror? Like maybe she felt trapped?

But yeah, given William's firm adherence that Emily was just a trick, how deluded he'd gotten about the game and thinking Ford was messing with him, I figured him killing her and seeing he'd actually killed his own daughter was the only way to break him out of his delusion.

This episode was a bit dark though. Like Ford pushing Bernard to try and kill Elsie, so he erases whatever code in him representing Ford is and heads to the same place everyone else is headed, as he thinks there's a better way. Elsie is all, "WTF, you're abandoning me?!" But hey, its better than getting strangled by a robot again!

And Teddy gets tired of all the killing and what he'd become, so he tells Dolores he can't continue on with her, and kills himself, leaving her all alone.

Oh, and apparently the Delos techs manage to copy and weaponize Maeve's code and put it into Clementine, which allows Clementine to turn nearby hosts into murderous rage-zombies? They're all ready to set Clementine loose, and shut down Maeve now that they got what they needed from her.

But Ford seems to have other plans, doing something to Maeve, allowing her to hopefully get up and get her revenge!

Into the Badlands- Whoa, that was unexpected! The setup for the storylines to intersect back together. So the Widow doesn't want to just make one last crazy push at Chau, throwing away countless lives in the process. That's not how she'll get lasting peace.

Instead, Gaius tells her about the back way he used to sneak Cogs away. So he, the Widow, and Tilda will sneak in that way, while Nathaniel and Lydia lead the troops and make it LOOK like they're making one last crazy push. But they only have to occupy Chau's forces long enough for the Widow to kill Chau.

And the battle is successful- Nathaniel is almost killed though, but Lydia saves him last minute by charging in with her cavalry and shooting the guy about to coup de grace him with a crossbow the Widow had given her. They hold the line, but its not until they return behind their lines when Lydia reveals she was wounded pretty badly.

The assassination attempt almost works- Tilda holds off the waves of troops, Gaius kills Chau's regent, but its a trap, the Widow chases Chau into a room full of crossbowmen. She predicted her brother would lead the Widow in through that secret passage and set up this trap.

But just when it seems Minerva is done for, the Master shows up, stops the dozens and dozens of arrows, and basically directs them back at Chau and her men, slaughtering them all. The Master is all, yeah, you have more important things to do than this, and totally gives the Widow back the Gift!

Why? Well, at Pilgrim's place, Sunny shows up, and MK challenges him to a duel. He almost wins, and is ready to literally rip Sunny's head off when Pilgrim stops him. (Oh, and apparently we find out how MK can use the gift without cutting himself- he tells Nyx that she just has to focus on a painful moment, and that works just as well as inflicting physical pain)

Pilgrim says they used to be brothers, and Sunny's real name is Sanzo. Together they can usher in a new era of peace and prosperity. Baiji figures out what they plan to do- they've been digging to unearth a mysterious chamber, one that will allow them to give or take the gift away on a whim.

Which could be incredibly dangerous, and as he points out, the first time the chamber was used was when the world went to shit. He begs Sunny not to do this, but Sunny is desperate to save his son. And so Baiji is captured and forced to watch as Sunny and Pilgrim manage to activate the chamber, and Pilgrim is able to pull the darkness out of Sunny's son to save him.

Sunny thanks him, but the ep ends with Pilgrim's eyes opening and being all black (having taken the gift from the baby) and all, "No, thank you!" Its all very ominous, so whatever happened isn't good!

Also, the Master is presumably Sunny's mysterious sister?
