So Drake released his music video for "I'm Upset":

Which is a nice Degrassi reunion! Heh, before this video came out, I think people were criticizing the song for being about him being tired of paying child support. Which, that is kinda devious to make people overlook all that by making the video a huge nostalgia-fest.

I'm amused he got Rick for this, I feel like he was just a guest star who's arc was to go crazy and go on a shooting spree to cripple Jimmy. But I guess he was actually around for a bit. Its even funnier he got Nina Dobrev for this, given I don't even think they interacted. I mean, its obvious why they did, because she's prolly the second most famous person on that show after Drake.

And its not like she was the only one far removed from the originals, besides Mia, Jane, Derek, Danny, and Connor feel a bit removed from the rest of the people in the video. Jane and Danny (who was Liberty's little brother, that's how much younger he was than the others) were class of 2008, which is the same class Mia and Derek would've graduated with had they not left. And Connor was freaking class of 2014 due to the time retcon. (Also, dude got big! Well, he was actually big on the show, its just he was playing a "nerd" so I guess you didn't think it) So they must be friendly with the originals to score an invite to the video.

But Sean and Jay and I guess Alex must've pissed someone off, since I think they were the main people from the first two seasons who weren't there. I mean, Jay and Alex weren't as main as the rest of them, but Sean definitely was. And ha, JT apparently didn't show up because he thought the whole thing was a scam!

I guess its also amusing they got Terri, because while she was an original, she left pretty early in the series.

TV Commentary:

Voltron- Another great season, which again was way too short! Things are actually nice for the first couple of eps! Heh, we finally get Nanny, but this version is actually Lotor's Nanny. Excuse me, "Governess". She has some interactions with Hunk, which actually helps him when Voltron has to save a Galra base that Sandak attacked. The base commander threw his lot in with them and Lotor, which doesn't sit well with his second. So the dumb idiots are ready to fight each other when there's the more pressing matter of the base/settlement getting fried by cosmic radiation if they don't repair things. And using the lessons Hunk learned from Dayak, he cows them into working together.

Keith gets some bonding time with his mom during a mission, which thanks to silly "gravitational bursts", they get glimpses of the past and future, wherein we learn his whole history. Turns out Krolia was a Blade of Malmora that had been embedded among the scouts looking for the Lions. She found the Blue Lion on Earth and killed her non-Blade partner to hide the secret. She was injured in the confrontation, which is how she met Keith's dad.

She was content to live out her days on Earth raising her son. But then more Galra came, and so after she and Keith's dad took them out, she had to go back in order to make sure no more Galra came to Earth. Anyways, she and Keith end up being on their mission for at least 2 years because of the wonky way time worked where they went. And they find a lost Altean colony.

The third ep was a really fun ep where they play space D&D. Pretty hilarious stuff in it.

But yeah, thinks take a more serious turn after that! so, turns out that lost Altean colony was established by Lotor to hide the last of the Alteans. But, he claimed he was setting up another colony for certain Alteans who pass some test. (really, it was a measurement of their Quintessence ability) The colonies couldn't communicate back and forth for "security reasons". And they would be none the wiser if not for Romelle and Bandor (a callback to the original cartoon where they're Allura's cousins).

Romelle was always suspicious of this other colony and how everyone worshipped Lotor as a savior. And she got worried when Bandor was picked, so she snuck him a communicator. And soon after he left, he escaped, telling his sister she was right. He ends up crashing and dying and his death covered up, but not before Romelle found and talked to him. She went to the real location of where the other Alteans were sent, and it was a secret facility just outside where those Alteans were being drained of Quintessence for Lotor's experiments.

So Keith, Krolia, and Romelle (and the space wolf Keith got along the way) quickly rush back to the Castle of Lions to warn them about Lotor. But they're a little late.

But first, lemme mention how they've been setting up a love triangle between Allura, Lotor, and Lance. This season, they make Lance's feeling for Allura pretty clear, how she makes him want to be a better man, and how sad he is that she prolly would never feel the same way about him, he couldn't possible compare to Lotor. And Allura is definitely falling hard for Lotor.

Which makes the news about his evil experiments quite shocking. And this came right after they shared a kiss! Finding out Lotor had killed thousands of Alteans was all too much- he tried to play it off as doing it for the greater good, trying to find a way to keep their people and culture alive, and how they died as martyrs.

She's not having it and totally knocks him out. Only his generals infiltrate the castle and steal back the ships he and Allura just built that can harness the quintessence. And things get really crazy, as Shiro turns all evil as well, Haggar (well, Honerva now, she went to the place with the White Lion and restored her Altean-ness) controls him into grabbing the unconscious Lotor and escaping with the generals.

As we find out after Keith gives chase, Shiro did "die" way back in season 2, but his mind was taken in by the Black Lion. And he'd be trying to contact them for the longest time. The Shiro they'd been with since then was a mere puppet clone controlled by Haggar. Anyways, Keith managed to knock out and defeat this sort of and sort of not Shiro and take him back.

Meanwhile, the Lotor stuff gets really confusing. So Lotor's girl squad seemed to have been taking him back as Honerva's prisoner. Only Axca was secretly working for Lotor this whole time and shoots at Honerva and frees him. Zethrid and Ezor are confused, but they continue to stick with Axca and therefore Lotor.

But further confusing the truth is him being all, he did all this to make it look good for the Princess and the Voltron Force, so he could fool them. Only when they confront Allura and the gang, he says he's sorry for what he did, but he did this all to restore their people and destroy the Galran empire, which obviously doesn't sit well with the girls. So who is he lying to? Them or Allura?

In any case, Lotor pleads with Allura to rejoin forces with him, but apparently the Quintessence absorption has started to make him as mad as his father, and when Allura compares him to Zarkon, he flips out and attacks the Voltron Force. Eventually, Axca tells the girls they're betraying Lotor once again, since he seems to have his own agenda (he says he's trying to build an ALTEAN not GALRAN empire), so he forcefully ejects them from the Sincline ships (the name a callback to the name of his GoLion counterpart) and they fly off somewhere for the rest of the season.

And yep, as people suspected, the ships are also a combiner, and they form a pretty sleek robot that seems more powerful than Voltron. Keith rallies the troops but even then Lotor is too strong, especially when he keeps jumping in and out of the Quintessence field in the Sincline to do teleport attacks.

So, they get the idea to enter the Quintessence field themselves to supercharge Voltron. And so they do, and now they're evenly matched. Only Allura realizes how bloodthirsty they quickly become during the fight, and realize they have to leave. She overloads Lotor's robot with Quintessence to take him down, but again, because of her conflicting feelings, wants to save him. Keith does too, but Pidge and Hunk are all, what are you crazy? But Lance convinces Allura they need to go, so they abandon Lotor where he possibly dies.

Anyways, all those rips he made in space-time are continuing to grow though, and if they don't stop it, the multiverse will be destroyed. So, they end up having to blow up the Castle of Lions to reseal the rifts.

In the end, they (Allura, Keith, Lance, Pidge, Hunk, clone-Shiro's unconscious form, Coran, Krolia, Romelle, the Space Mice, Space Wolf, Lance's cow, and Pidge's floating furry things) land somewhere safe in the Lions, and Allura uses her powers to put Shiro's soul into the clone body. And the team is all, they can build a new Castle of Lions, as they sent the plans with Pidge's dad. So looks like they'll be heading back to Earth!

Hmm, I wonder if this means we'll eventually get vehicle Voltron with Pidge's brother?
