TV commentary:
Into the Badlands- Heh, I'm not sure that plan really made sense! It was cool to see Wren again, and up and about to boot. Its too bad it was because she was leading a coup against the Widow.
So she and her people strike just as Moon leaves, and Lydia manages to evade capture, but the Widow and Gaius, not so much. Anyways, I didn't get Wren's plan. If she was contacting Chau and saying I'll kill your brother if you don't have an armistice, that would make sense. But she was all, make an armistice with the widow, or else I'll kill the Widow and her loyalists?! Wouldn't she want that?
Anyways, the Widow and Gaius manage to escape their cage and fight back, but then they get surrounded. Lucky for them Moon, Lydia, and Tilda teamed up to rescue them.
So Wren and her followers get executed, but not before the Widow promises her that she will enact the future she said she was bringing to the badlands. And hey, this is prolly the swift kick Minerva needed to get back on track. She and Gaius were being too blase with her forces, ready to sacrifice a lot of them to win, despite Moon and Lydia's protests. Knowing now how dissatisfied some of her people were, how they thought she was a liar no better than the other barons, she'll do a better job of winning without sacrificing too much.
Sunny finds out on that fateful boat trip he had an older sister who was protecting him, but then disappeared after they were attacked. But while he was finding that out, the River King betrays him to some people who've been looking for him. I thought it was Pilgrim at first, but I guess its the people who attacked Sunny when he was a boy. A bunch of dudes in samurai armor with extendable flails and would rather kill themselves then being interrogated, called the Black Locusts.
Sunny kills the guys sent after him, but the River King taunts him that now that Black Locusts know he's alive. Sunny's tired of this guy's shit and kills him. Meanwhile, Baiji gets friendly with his ex-wife, and hopes she'd join him on their adventures, but she says its not for her. Plus, with the River King dead, there's an opening for her to takeover.
Back at Pilgrim's place, they have a funeral for Castor. Nix finds some bruises on Castor's neck, indicating he was killed. She confronts Pilgrim about it, but he proclaims his innocence. She doesn't know who to trust, particularly with what the Widow told Castor about MK. But MK says those are lies, and she can trust him, and he can teach her to harness her gift without cutting herself.
