TV commentary:

The Expanse- Interesting! So Melba and camera guy seem to be working together, as I'm sure all those scenes of him fiddling around in the Roci are what lead to the climax.

So I was wondering why Melba was crying over the guy she killed when she was about to blow up a ship. Like she was upset enough about that and her plan to set off a bomb that Anna noticed. Though I guess to be fair, the footage the show seems similar to when the Roci sheared the engines off that UNN destroyer chasing Bobbie and Chrisjen. So maybe the people on that ship are fine, albeit in a crippled ship?

Things get really bad when a transmission goes out with Holden claiming responsibility for the bomb, in the name of the Belters. Which, interesting, people were wondering if his transmission from the first season talking about the Donnager could be verified, and it was assumed it was. But now in this case, the idea of whether you could verify broadcasts like that and stop fake news is more important. Although I suppose it was such a tense situation there was no time to verify.

Its too bad we don't see Avasarala in this ep, because once she saw that feed, I think her of all people would know its fake. She's met Holden, and is good at reading people. While Holden seems to be sick of all this political bullshit between Earth and Mars, he's never been pro-belter either, other than to say they've been screwed by the inners. So as soon as she saw him say something like, "I do this for the belt!" Chrisjen would be all, "That's horseshit!" because that's not the kind of guy he is. Opening up cans of worms, sure. But being an OPA stooge? no way.

Also, was camera man guy intending to be on a suicide mission, because he had to know this ends with the fleet shooting at the Roci. Which Naomi begs Drummer not too, but honestly, she was over a barrel. If she didn't fire, the fleet would destroy both of them. But yeah, now that they survived (more than that in a sec) he has to realize it won't be too long before the Roci crew figures it out, and Amos kills him.

I don't think Monica is involved though, so hopefully she can convince the crew of the fact lest she get thrown in with camera guy.

But interesting, Holden figures out from proto-Miller that they're only hope is to escape through the ring- and he figures out the trick to it too. What killed the slingshot guy was the sudden deceleration. So he has Alex (it takes some convincing, and he manages to convince Amos, who tells Alex to do what Holden says) race towards the ring, and then slow down rapidly, even though they're being chased by a missile.

And so the ep ends, thankfully not with a fade to black as everyone temporarily passes out from the stresses, but with some weird physics thing going on with them and the missile trapped in the gate's field. Are they stopped? Are they moving imperceptibly slow that the missile is still gonna be an issue?
