TV commentary:

NCIS: LA- Wow, that season finale was frustrating as hell. Mosley is a frakking krant! I get its about her kid, but she pissed away all the good will she had earned over the season.

You know the difference between her situation and the Hetty one in 'Nam? There's plenty. For one, it was totally the team's choice right from the start. Like if she wasn't bitchy and antagonistic to them from the start, they would've happily gone along.

I mean, as it was Callen wanted to do it alone, because he didn't want to put the rest of the team in danger/get them in trouble, Sam did it because it had to do with her family, Kensi because that's the job, and Deeks to watch Kensi's back. But they would've gone with it with the same loyalty and gusto they did when rescuing Hetty if she treated them nicely and she brought them in from the beginning.

Like, they're fine with doing whatever it takes if its their choice. But Mosley was making all sorts of crazy (and illegal) moves, and basically forcing the team to compromise their integrity without knowing why at first. Illegal surveillance, falsifying reports, covering up her beating up a suspect.

And in Hetty's situation, she was being tortured and would likely die. Now, I wouldn't dismiss Mosley's situation as a "custody battle", because the dad is still an arms dealer and thus leads a dangerous life. But the kid more or less has a pretty damn good life, living quite luxuriously. I get she's worried and wants her kid back, but she's being way too aggressive and not playing it smart.

Yes, he's been hard to track, but they prolly could've watched him and found a better opportunity. Instead, she basically sent them into a suicide mission. Like, I'll be pretty pissed if Hidoko really is dead. Particularly if she was killed in such a brutal and horrible manner. I guess the actress doesn't even know if she's alive, so it seems like the show is just waiting and seeing how pissed people will be if they decide to kill her, or if they can get away with it.

But yeah, Sam was recovering from a bullet wound, so he wasn't even at his best. And even if he was, they were grossly outnumbered, not only having to deal with Mosley's exes security, but the top notch security of the guy he was making the deal with, plus a literal army of corrupt cops and soldiers!

And instead of listening to reason, she canned Deeks. He wasn't saying to not ever rescue her son, but to take a moment and not do something stupid. And he ends up going on the mission anyways, and she's still bitchy about it. I'm just pissed that she didn't show enough gratefulness at Deeks giving her son at the chopper, or more worry over Hidoko's possible death. If the gang gets out of this, she owes them friggin big time! She better not be nasty to them again.

And what pisses me off even more about this ep is that they broke up Densi (possibly) out of the blue. Now, they had legit concerns, but why didn't they sprinkle these over the season instead of having everything be mostly happy-shiny, and then have some huge blow up in the season finale!?

Like Kensi needs this job, which is fair. But Deeks is right to be concerned. Particularly with all the trouble they've faced. Seriously, unlike the other NCISes, every ep has a big firefight. They've prolly all killed more than a few dozen people over their career. They've survived, but eventually their luck will run out. I think back to earlier in the season, when Kensi was all, "Sam and Michelle made it work!" And Deeks rightly pointed out, she was proving his point, they didn't make it work, she friggin died!

He loves her and just wants a nice and happy life for them!
