TV commentary:
Once Upon a Time- Series finale! So Wish-Rumpel's plan is to use Wish-Henry's rage to power a spell similar to the dark curse. But, instead of wisking everyone into another land, it will wisk everyone to their own personal hell, where they'll be alone, unable to save themselves.
Anyways, Robin and Alice's plan to get help from the denizens of Storybrooke doesn't go as planned, because due to the shenanigans of the past few season, they've become distrustful of outsiders (as they don't know Alice, and Robin is only a kid at this point) and don't buy their "we're from the future" story.
Luckily, Robin finds her mom and is able to convince her of the truth. So they free Nook, Rumpel, and Henry and his family with some help from Moana's hook, while Snowing rescue Regina. During all this, Robin asks Hook for permission to marry Alice.
So the climax has Regina having to fend off Wish-Henry, who's rage is fueling the Wish-Rumpel's new curse. So the gang is trying desperately not be sucked into these personal hells, and of course Alice loses her grip, so her papa has to desperately hold on to her, even though its literally killing him.
In any case Regina refuses to fight back, saying she loves any version of Henry. Which shouldn't work, because that's not her Henry. This Henry sees her as the person who killed his grandparents (because it was her, not Wish-Regina, in an effort to break Emma out of the spell) and took away Emma (since there was only ever one Emma, so by waking her up, he removed her from that world too), so he's all alone. I mean, she says she'll never let him be alone, which would be fine if this Henry didn't see her as an enemy. But power of love and all that, so he relents, stopping the spell.
But its too late for Nook! Rumpel however, figures out how to save Nook and defeat his Wish-counterpart since they're apparently connected. He rips out his own heart, not because he thinks this act of selfless-ness will get him back to Belle (otherwise it wouldn't be selfless!) but its the right thing to do. And so, in doing so, all the blackness clears from his heart, and he plunges it into Nook's chest, reviving him and killing both Rumpels.
So Rumpel dies, but he does get reunited with Belle!
After all this, Regina comes up with an idea for a new "curse", one that won't be fueled by killing the thing they love, but by having everyone contribute a little piece of their heart. And what does this curse do? It brings all the story realms into Storybrooke, creating a magical hidden place in the middle of Maine. That way no one is separated anymore across different realms, everyone is finally together. (though wouldn't all the multiple versions of people be confusing as hell?!)
So they do it, and the timeline is confusing at this point, because like which versions of Zelena and Regina are we seeing at this point? Like, they had been working with past Zelena during this ep, but is this her at the end, or the current Zelena with the fiancee? Because we don't see the fiancee, but grown up Robin as also there. Same for Regina. They imply this is HH Regina at this point, but this also seems to be in the "past", because Hook and Emma just had their new baby!
It doesn't really make sense, but whatever, we're here in the home stretch. The people elect Regina to be their new queen, and Snow crowns her 'the Good Queen". Emma almost doesn't make it, and Regina is all, "Where's Emma?" but she shows up at the last minute and they share a moment, to throw the SQ shippers a bone. And that's how it ends, with everyone happy under good Regina's rule!
Oh, and I forgot to add, they randomly had a line identifying Lily's father, since apparently that was something people were wondering even though they dropped that storyline. Its Zorro! Who's also a dragon?!
Agents of SHIELD- So much for addressing that! Since they referenced Ebony Maw's attack on Strange in NYC, I thought, oh weird, maybe AoS will be affected by IW! Nope! I mean, the amount of time that seems to pass in these past couple of eps seems like they would be past the Battle of Wakanda and Thanos' snap. But I guess we don't know how much time passes in IW. People are going all over the galaxy, Wakanda had to make preparations, etc. The movie made it seem like it was only a few hours, though that was prolly because it was a movie and everything had to fit within a couple of hours to the audience. So maybe more time passed than expected.
So its entirely possible AoS din't even reach that point yet, even though it seems like they should be past it. Anyways, Daisy defeats Talbot using the last of what could've possibly cured Coulson. Which they kept going back and forth on. Yo-yo wanted to use it to fight Talbot, thinking she's all alone and everyone has gone mad- she cares about Coulson too, but knows they can't sacrifice the world just for him. But then May seems to wreck whatever they were going to use on Talbot, making the point moot.
But then Coulson refuses to take it at the climax, leaving it for Daisy to use against Talbot. Oh, and Fitz randomly gets killed from collateral damage. And then they seemingly mourn him, but its a big fake out. They're actually holding a retirement party for Coulson, who's going to live out his last remaining days in Tahiti with Melinda.
Fitz did die, but he's also in cryo somewhere in space. So they just have to find him and wake him up. I was wondering why Deke wasn't there and no one cared. Like, did he fade out of existence and everyone forgot him? But I guess he said no matter what, he didn't want to spend all his time in the lifehouse yet again, so he was going out there to explore the world. So I've seen some people say he just didn't go with them to Chicago, and thus was not around for all that (which okay, maybe it was only a short amount of time between the climax and the end then?)
This really could've served as a series finale, particularly since they weren't affected by IW.
