The Originals- Smooth move, Ex-Lax! First things first, Freya visits Hope at school. Alas, was hoping to see the twins, but we didn't. Anyways, eventually Freya tells Hope to watch herself, because the prophecy Vincent saw could point to her being someone who will bring great ruin.
In NOLA, Klaus is back to his draconian, ruthless ways of dealing things. He kidnaps a member of each faction, a witch, a wolf, and Josh. He gives the factions a short time to turn over Hayley, or he'll kill his hostages.
All he gets is a box containing.. some skin ripped off of Hayley? He's pretty pissed, so he manages to kill the wolf and the witch, with Marcel trying to stop him from killing Josh, and Vincent actually being successful.
Marcel lectures Klaus later, saying all he did was fracture the fragile NOLA alliance. He also says if Elijah was here, he'd tell Klaus what an idiot he's being. But Klaus breaks it to him that no, Elijah wouldn't. Because he remembers who he is and has washed his hands of his family. He also tells Marcel two things. First, his ploy revealed the culprits in all this. The witches and wolves were rightfully freaked out and doing what they could to appease him. The vamps just resisted.
Secondly, that the vamps no longer respect either of them, so they'll have to remind them why they should respect them. And so they (yes, both Klaus AND Marcel) impose their power upon the vamps, and telling them as punishment for their insolence, their daylight rings are being taken away.
But yeah, the damage is already done. The Wolves and Witches are looking out for themselves, and the vamps are reluctantly under the Mikaelsons (and Marcel counts as one of them now) thumb. Man, Klaus can really be deluded sometimes though. He did what he did, and really expected Vincent to help him?!
Vincent washes himself of their family (is he going to be mad at Freya when she comes back?), to Klaus' shock (seriously?!). Its sad too, because Vincent repeats what Elijah said to Klaus, that he's beyond redemption. Which seems a little harsh, but unfortunately, Klaus' bloodbath came right as Vincent was having Ivy check the cards again.
In her reading, initially it showed Klaus as fine, causing Vincent to breath a sigh of relief. Of course, that was also the exact moment Klaus got that piece of Hayley, at which point the cards went crazy and pointed to Klaus being a great danger.
Owel, in the end, Klaus finds a clue- some sort of nazi coin or medal. So Hayley was kidnapped by Nazi vamps?!
Expanse- Heh, all for naught! So the Roci spends all episode getting to IO, and they get to the base, all ready to break in... only to see the facility launch a bunch of hybrid pods into space.
So what's that all about?! Well, while they were farting around, a whole bunch of crazy stuff was happening in the Earth and Mars fleet. So, Sinopili talks to the captain of the ship he gets on. He tells them about encountering Holden, Draper, and Avarsala on a ship together, and the second in command hilarious and rightfully asks if the tooth fairy was there, because running into those three randomly together does sound quite fantastical.
He show Captain Kirino the recording, but she and her X-O say they don't know if that's for real or not, it could be some weird Earth plot. She sends him away, but she does end up sending the recording to Souther. Which his men do get, and show to him. So Souther and those loyal to him try to mutiny.
And that's when things go off. Souther issues a wideband to both fleets, saying this is a illegal war, perpetrated by that slimy Errinwright. Unfortunately, he only hints at his role, not getting to even show the evidence before Nguyen manages to capitalize on a distraction to shoot and kill Souther.
Though Souther has control of the Agatha King back, the damage is done though. Several ships break off of the Earth fleet, refusing to continue on these apparently illegal orders. Nguyen orders the King to fire on one of those ships, but the gunner refuses. So he kicks her off her station and shoots it down himself. This basically sets off a bunch of chaos, with the Earth ships starting to fire on each other.
Meanwhile, the Martians are like, "Wut!?" Kirino orders her fleet to stand down, all, if those Earther want to kill each other, whatever. But she will offer a flag of truce and accept any wounded who flee to them.
Souther's men try one last attempt to retake the ship and a bunch of people die, including that cute officer chick (boo!). Nguyen's wounded though. He had already gotten the IO base to load some ships up with hybrids and protomolecule in order for the King to pick up (although Mao and Strickland protest since they were starting to make new strides in their research, including realizing that hybrid kid is in communication with whatever is at Venus). With things royally effed, he just launches the pods at everyone up there.
So, next ep should be crazy-interesting!
