NCIS: LA- Okay, I'm totally confused! Are Neric a thing or not, like I don't remember officially being a couple. But I mean, waking up in bed together, you could maybe explain as they just had a long night and it was totally innocent, but then they almost kissed in Op as if its something they normally do!
Timeless- Thank goodness! The way they framed the climax there, with the guy about to shoot young Agent Christopher, I was worried they might have something bad happen. But Wyatt saves her at the last minute, and not only is Denise still happily married to her wife and two kids, the excursion to the past changed her life for the better. In the previous time line, she was estranged from her mother, but thanks to Lucy and Jiya, Denise came out to her mom, and while it was rough at first, her mom came to accept her.
Heh, maybe Rittenhouse would've been more successful if they tried killing her at some random other point in history, not during the Reagan assassination attempt where they know the gang would show up!
Still not sure the Lucy diary thing makes sense yet. So she gives the diary to Flynn five years from now. Well, when she's five years older. Interestingly enough she does it 2 weeks after his family's death, which is also within her own lifetime, so somehow they figure out a way to travel to years they were already born.
But yeah, the issue I find confusing isn't how she got the diary to him, but what her plan was. Because he was following her diary, and let's not forget, he was trying to eff up all sorts of shit back in the past. So did that future Lucy feel those things had to be changed? Or is it like a loop, that because those are the times and places she encountered Flynn, that's where she had to send him to?
And we find out more about Jessica- turns out in this timeline, her brother, who originally died of Leukemia survived, thanks to an experimental treatment offered by mysterious benefactors. Before Wyatt can get any further info though, she distracts him with news of her pregnancy!
Into the Badlands- Machinations! So Lydia agrees to be the Widow's viceroy. Tilda's disgusted that she would work with her, but Lydia says its because she's young and naive. It may seem heroic or noble to hold to one's convictions, even in the face of death, but Lydia is more pragmatic. Dying doesn't do the cogs any good. She can help refugees better by entering into a nominal alliance with the Widow than she can just getting killed.
I'm kinda confused about what deal the Widow made with Tilda in the end? She asked for Tilda and MK's freedom, but not sure what he Widow gets in return. Because she was originally not asking for Tilda to come back. The Widow's fine with Tilda doing her own thing, if only she can call on Tilda when she needs her. What does that even entail?
But yeah, MK's guards being a little brutal during feeding time finally awakens his powers. And so he busts out, with Tilda talking him down from trying to kill the Widow. Which is interesting because he caused so much havoc that she just let the three of them go. In exchange for what?
Man, Sunny and Baijie's little side adventure was a little sad. Sunny doesn't want to be in this war, he's trying to protect both sides, but then that Arthur kid slits the sniper guys throat (which to be fair, he prolly lost dozens of friends to this guy, all of whom died horribly). And Baijie tries to do something good, using his chi to keep Wren sedated so the doctor can amputate her leg.
When she comes to though, she's not grateful. Because what the hell is she supposed to do now, with only one leg, during this time of war? I mean, maybe when this conflict is over, she could find a way to live, but right now she's screwed. Baijie's tries to be all, "Maybe things will get better!" even though he doesn't believe it, and Wren knows it.
But heh, man, those guys are going to feel so foolish after Sunny and Baijie leaves and Nathaniel is all, "I'm your real regent!"
