Life Sentence- Heh, I just noticed, since Lucy Hale is so short, is one of the ways they make her look younger in the flashbacks is to not have her wear heels so she looks tiny? But ugh, these latest eps. I have like zero sympathy for Aiden, no matter how much the show tries to make us feel for him. They had that flashback last week where he got put on those meds in the first place because he was worried about Stella, and his stupid boss at the time told him how much money he could make selling those pills. And yes, him actually getting into a crash because he was tired and depressed, and not because of "drunken antics" is sad, the turn his life took wasn't.
And honestly, everyone keeps making decisions that I assume the show is meaning to convey caring, but all I see is them just fucking up further and further. I mean, Aiden needed a wake up call. Its not Peter's fault his attempt to teach his son a lesson blows up because he's an even bigger fuck up then they thought.
And Peter feels guilty so he doesn't want Aiden to take the plea, and its like, way to waffle! So you're going to fight for him to face zero consequences? How's he going to learn his lesson? He's like even telling the judge he meant to just give Aiden a nudge, not shove him to the ground. I submit he gave Aiden all sorts of nudges that didn't work!
So I'm glad Lizzie did tell him that he can't blame their dad, he's the one who was dealing drugs. In the end, Peter gives the judge an impassioned speech blaming himself for being a bad father, but then his kids show up all, "No, you're great!" And Aiden throws himself at the mercy of the court.
Despite the judge being hard on drug offenders, particularly as she says the drugs he sells are very dangerous and lead to death all the time, she's moved and gives him a week in jail and a bunch of community service. He seems to recognize how lucky he freaking is, and hopefully he will take this incredible second chance to really change his life. (Because the judge will totally make him regret it if he effs up again after the mercy she showed him)
And then there's more Stella-Wes-Will drama, which I'm also over.
Agents of SHIELD- Well, what do you know, they are connecting to Infinity War. I highly doubt the Netflix shows, Runaways, or Cloak and Dagger will though. According to the Confederacy, Thanos is attacking Earth right now. And Talbot, who totally looks like the Graviton of the comics now, wants to help, but the Confederacy says its hopeless. Turns out their treaty with Hydra to protect the Earth from alien threats was a lie, they just wanted to exploit the Earth. They know they can't do anything against Thanos.
Talbot believes he can, if he got more Gravitonium. Its interesting, will the effects of IW happen in the middle of all this, or at the end of the season, when they presumably defeat Talbot and/or the Confederacy. Either way, I'm guessing not a lot of time will pass during these episodes.
Interesting though, while Fitzsimmons and Yo-yo were kinda crazy with the whole, if they're alive in the future, they can't die until then, I do think that means they should survive the Thanos death snap. Because that's a circumstance outside their control. They didn't do anything that should change what happened with that, so if they know May, Yo-yo and Fitzsimmons are alive in the future, they should be survive Thanos.
if any of them do get turned to ash, then I call shenanigans.
