geebsFinally beat Pandemic legacy Season 2 last night! Alas, again, we just missed the best ending. Totally losing one month hurt a lot. Anyways, winning involved one of the characters intentionally getting infected (the game effect of which was getting a special double scar) and slowly making it from the Pearl lab at Lake Baikal to the Jade lab in Johannesburg. You could only drive/ferry, and had to discard a card matching the city color to move there.
My character was best for the job because she could fish cards out of the discard. She had the once per turn get a city card out of the discard by discarding a card of any color, but also the discard a city card of the matching color to get one of the same color out of the discard. And we had gotten the card that counts as both a black and a red in there, which allowed me to make it in time.
It was pretty harrowing, because we were at 6 outbreaks. But luckily we found all the labs, which had very helpful abilities to help us stave off outbreaks. And win or lose, the infected character dies at the end of the game. So I was going to be very mad if I sacrificed myself for nothing. But we made it.
And its funny, because my character card was randomly 1 of the 2 "death at seven exposures" ones in the game.

Supernatural- He really didn't know? So Lucifer was 1) Unaware Gabriel was still alive, 2) Rowena was still alive, and 3) Jack was in the other dimension? Anyways, since Gabe is still healing, his grace didn't provide enough power to open the gate.
So Gabe and Rowena (who end up totally doing it!) combine their powers to grab Lucifer. And so they bind and constantly bleed him to keep the portal open for more than 24 hours. The boys, Cas, and Gabe head over to rescue Jack and Mary.
While they're there, Lucifer tries to get under Rowena's skin, and it works! He gets her to taunt him about Jack being on the other side and how Cas and the Winchesters are better fathers to him than he will ever be. Plus, since we know getting him angry empowers him, he's able to break free of his bonds.
He attacks Rowena, is about to kill her, when she manages to blast him back, through the portal. Which is bad, because now she no longer has access to Archangel grace to keep the portal open for more than 24 hours. She's all ready to abandon her allies to their fates, but then finds her pesky conscience won't let her. So she has to figure out a way to keep the portal open long enough for everyone to get back!
Its sorta a good thing Lucifer gets blasted through though. Because in their trek to reach Jack and their mom, Sam is killed by a bunch of vamps. And so Dean gets to finally reunite with his mom, only to have to break the news that Sam is dead.
only, Lucifer had been tracking them after he came through. Some angels attack him, but he ends up killing and consuming them all, so he's back to being strong. He comes upon Sam's corpse and resurrects him, since he figures bringing back Sam will score him brownie points with Jack.
And so Sam strolls into the camp, alive, and everyone's happy to see him, but he quickly frowns, because he's not happy at what its cost them- Lucifer finally getting to meet his son.
Other stuff, Cas tells Gabriel about the heaven situation, and asks him to come back to repower heaven. Gabriel doesn't know, he's always been the screw-up, but Cas insists maybe he's the right guy for the job.
