TV commentary:

Supernatural- Ah, interesting, some Gabe back story. So he wasn't always Loki. He saved the real Loki one day, and as repayment, Loki let him wear his face and taught him to be a trickster so he could hide from his family drama. But apparently after the incident in the hotel when Lucifer slaughtered all those gods, there's been bad blood between Gabriel and Loki.

Like he and Odin never saw eye to eye, but he was still his dad. And so he blamed Gabriel for that whole mess, and was thus upset when he came back looking for help again after faking his death. So Loki and his sons sold him out to Asmodeus, and then when Gabriel was freed, he sought revenge. Which the Winchesters helped him get this episode.

In the other dimension, Jack gets cocky and falls for a trap (a Kevin Tran turned into a living bomb) that takes out all his top lieutenants who are not Bobby or Mary. He feels sad and foolish, but Mary gives him a pep talk out of it.

Arrow- Ugh, so annoying. Rene is finally out of the hospital and upon hearing Team Arrow is no more, is all cocky about it like "just as I expected!" And then being all, "I knew taking down Diaz was going to come down to the three of us!" Ugh, arrogant, ungrateful little shit.

Anyways, his whole storyline about worrying about leaving his daughter an orphan, her knowing this whole time he was a vigilante and giving him her blessing doesn't actually solve his fear! Like he didn't want to die on her, so how does her being okay with him going out change that? I'm also annoyed that he was, "If I die, who will take care of my daughter!?" You know, I get there's bad blood between you and Ollie, but I'm certainly sure Oliver would make sure Zoe was taken care of if something ever happened to him. So maybe don't be such an asshole to him!

I like the Quentin/Laurel storyline, but they've stretched it out more than they should have. Its good to see that now Laurel has obvious conflict. Because honestly before, it did lean more towards her playing Quentin for a fool. But now she's obviously disgusted to be with Diaz, but too scared to leave. And so after they have a heart to heart, Quentin and Laurel decide to do what they can to protect each other.

Amusingly enough though, Quentin brings up the example of working with Damien to protect his daughters, but its not like Laurel was always doing this to protect him. She was doing this to survive first and foremost. I think protecting him was still in the back of her mind even back then, but it certainly wasn't the main reason she got in bed with Diaz. But whatever, the sooner we get to redeemed Earth-2 Laurel, the better.

It is funny they also had her randomly play Siren-X on Flash this week. I did dislike the whole thing about her history where she had an unrequited crush on Earth-X Ollie though. Was that really necessary?

But I digress. Heh, Oliver went through all that just to prove to Anatole how dishonorable Diaz was. He was successful at that at least, with Diaz stabbing him during what was supposed to be a fair bare knuckle brawl to see who gets to stay in the city.

Too bad Diaz uses the opportunity of having Oliver in his grasp to immediately have his crooked cops arrest him and put him on trial for being the Arrow. I just realized, since Laurel was there, he might think, "That traitorous bitch!" not knowing she and Quentin worked thing out. Although its kinda ridiculous if he missed the obvious conflict in Laurel's face.

Like its funny Quentin missed it initially. I guess maybe its the sting of being betrayed at first, but could Laurel look more repulsed at Diaz's touch?! Which again, its weird that initially they made it seems like she wanted to be with him (and I guess maybe she did back then) but now she totally seems like an abused woman under duress.

But ugh, Diaz just sucks as a villain. He's nothing more than a punk who doesn't deserve to seem like such a big threat to Oliver and the city.
